Any one sent their kid to Tutor time?
how do you like it?
I saw on the 2006-07 kindergarden guide published by 荷花 that most of the grads from Tutor time got into nice primary schools...

How about the student teacher ratio at the school and the cirriculum of the school?

Hi Janice,

Nice things you mentioned about TT.  I feel much better knowing you are very happy with this school. I was wondering if you are familiar with the TT in Tai Tam which is where i think i might be sending my child.  Do you know of any especially good teachers there.  I also am thinking of applying to CIS.  Your son must be very smart.  I hear it is quite  difficult to get accepted.  Would you mind sharing your experiences in terms of preparing your son to going to CIS.  Is the interview there difficult?  Would having a corp. debenture make a difference?

my husband and i love Tutor Time too,that's a very good international school, especially you let your child studied there from they're young, you'll see their improvment.

Thanks Janice for such a quick response.  When you mention importance of conversation.  would english be good enuf or do you need mandarin also?

I am looking for a good kindergarden for my daughter. I want my daughter who can speak fluent English and Mandarin. I want to ask what primary school can my daughter apply (i.e. IS only) after finished kindergarden.

My daughter is one year old.  And I was thinking of enrolling her for the nursery school which starts at 2.  I will probably be attending the one in Tai tam.  As for the language,  I speak to her in english most of the time.  My husbans speaks to her in Cantonese.  Neither of us speaks mandarin.  Would that be a problem for applying to CIS which I hear does prefer those with mandarin background?  Can TT teach enuf Mandarin so that my child can be fluent without us speaking it at home?

my son has attended the nursery class in TT for a month now. my family, including him, loves it very very much.

Right after he was born, I mainly speak English with him. After going to school for 2-3 weeks, he can count 1 to 10  in Mandarin by himself. He also underdstand other simple words like body parts, colour.....etc. Quite surprised !

The qualification of the teachers are also higher, and always 2-3 teachers inside the classroom.

Hi Janice and Ribbon,

  My son is 1 year old now.  I am wondering when should start his application for kindergarden.  I am thinking to send him to play group at age 2, and kindergarden at age3.  glad to hear so many positive feedbacks.  I've been searching for US curriculum schools but there's not many in HK.  IS CIS following US curriculum?
