How do you choose between 浸小 and 培僑?

Since I live in Sha-tin area, both schools are my target school for my son.  I do not want my son to travel long to school everyday.

I have heard a lot of good comments about 培僑.  How is 浸小?  Is anyone can give me some good advice?

If yI were you and live in Shatin, I will pick Pui Kui. The mission of school and the idea is good, but need to see how the school deliver and drive toward thsi direction.

Pui Kiu out of my consideration no matter how good it is- the school site is situated at the site full of large electric wire which may eradiate radiation.

From my understanding, both schools' missions are very similar.  I asked my son which school he likes more and he seems more prefer to 浸小.

兩所小學也位於沙田,同樣著重英文及普通話,也是新校(培僑只有兩個月口碑,浸小全沒有),只是辦學團體有所分別,兩所學校也公佈結果了,真的不知如何取捨,請大家給予意見! :

培僑最吸引是學費平, 不過佢地個教學團體以往的教學成果不是太突出.  相反浸大的教育系頗出名, 而浸幼也辦得不錯.  只是學費很貴, 但學費已包課外活動費, 所以計落也不是十分昂貴.

而培僑校舍好像比較大一點, 而浸幼校舍還未起好呢!

培僑1700 , 有泳池(李兆基捐) , 相信普通話會較強 , 没有宗教，較多人捐助。
浸小3500 , 相信英文會較強。

將來應两間都不易入，越來越多人抗拒廣東話中文教育的學校，因大家都知道只有英文及普通話才是香港學生的出路，好像培僑今年750人考150位，唔係你話入就入呀！邊間收就讀邊間。

如果有家長兩間都收，首先真係恭喜，跟着就要將两個校長所說的理念跟自己所認同的再比較，再看看紅薄仔，然後有結果。
正如你問我入U選港大定中大一樣，差不多，自己决定吧！

Well, i don't think Baptist is doing an exceptionally good job...kindersgarten maybe ok, but primary and esp tertiary is really doubtful....I don't see any great results from Bapt U tough except journalism (bcos other universities are not running such programmes This school is so new to say whether it is that good or not. I've been to their seminar and I heard nothing practical so far...kind of bluffing at this stage I think.

I think people prefer Bapt's one is bcos the halo effect of the brand "Baptist" (up to this moment).

hello_minimini,

i like both schools too and I've already sent application for my son.
Another difference between 2 schools is that parents must study if your child is in BU primary school.  

I think it's good that the principle puts emphasis on parents eduucation.  However, not all parents have time for those courses.
