足3 歲了    , 我沒有特別去比較, 我上年只是報這所學校, 當知道收Samantha時, 就好高興了.當中我最喜歡是有外籍人仕教英文及有國語學

我囝囝與CMMANDY一樣讀同一幼稚園，雖然無佢女女咁叻，但起碼佢話番學是開心的。因為佢番幼兒班時，我問佢鍾唔鍾意番學，佢都話唔鍾意。小朋友最重要是番學開心，才會有心機去學習。

想問下金巴倫係屬於傳統學校,還是活動式教學? 會唔會好多功課? 學校對小朋友照顧足唔足夠?

Like I say, I chose HK Preschool cos the curriculum is good. Eng/Can/Man. However, it does not mean that if Eng is taught by 'gweipors' it's good.  The teacher must be able to enrol the kids, create a love for English. Unfortunately, the teacher my child had was not good.  Too inexperienced. The Indian teacher my child had at playgroup was 10 times better.
So don't look at the teachers. From this experience I had, it's best to speak with the teachers personally.  From there, you can 'sense & feel' if they've got the love for teaching children.

My son is in K3 in St Nicolas (金巴倫) - School Fee around $2,100. My friend's son is in K3 in 約克 - school fee $2,400, basically their curiculum are almost same.

Let's share some infor from St Nicolas (金巴倫)with you, they have,
- Native English Tutor (4-day a week)
- Native Putonghua Teacher - very good (4-day a week)


Whole year, the child will study -
- 12 Chinese books
- 2 Mandarin books
- besides Chinese, all the curiculum is in English (Maths, IQ, general affairs & knowledge) / study 12 English story books / Phonics /

The child can learn more English compared with other traditional schools. (of course, St Catherine is the best in learning English. But the school fee is 1,000 more than St Nicolas)

In K3, learn the sentence in English & Chinese, start Chinese & English dictation every week. The child can be easily adapted to Primary school when they start early dictation in Kindergarten.

The curiculum is good but the space of school's garden is not too big.

樂基 - daily English, sounds international schooling, Its name is not renowned as St Catherine but the school fee is almost the same. If you choose 樂基, then it's better go to St Catherine.

i applied SN already, but the reception girl told me that the English classes are all taught by Native Speaker, every day. & there are 2 native speakers in the school, right? *please clarify whether 4 days or 5 days.

I know the media is in English, do you think if the local teachers can speak the ENglish accurately?

besides, is the whole system of the school good?

if comparing SN to york, what is the difference, which one would you like more?

SN & York - Same
- similar curiculum, Putonghua/Chinese/Eng, even homework logistic are almost same but difference are

- York: school area is bigger
- SN-K3 start both Chin/Eng dictation : York (not yet start)
- phonics (SN-K1 to K3 have phonics textbook) / York (K1 & K2 school own designed phonics curiculum, K3 have also get the same phonics textbook as SN)
York (learn 6 story books a year ) / SN (learn 12 story books a year)


As we know that only 4 days a week for Eng/Putonghua respectively. I may call to school to re-confirm again

Before I joint SN, I also heard that SN's students are good at Eng. SN's Eng curiculum & homework can help the child to get advance Eng before they step into primary school but

SN is a school just teach the knowledge but not moral lesson

SN's native teacher is ok but the local teachers don't all the time speak Eng with student. (this is the fact)
Please rest assure that the child can still pronouce the Eng very well.

The putonghua teacher is really very good.

When will your child attend the interview at SN?
your child will attend K1 next Aug?

金巴倫跟根德園比較又如何，一般意見都認為根德課程比較深，金巴倫又屬於較深或淺？金巴倫上課的模式是比較嚴肅，還是鼓勵小朋友嘗試發問和作答，是那一種？

我2個仔仔都在金巴倫讀, 大既巳經畢咗業, 細既仲讀緊.
佢地既課程唔淺, 同根德差唔多, 不過巧課量應該根德多d. 金巴倫k3要一星期默2次書, 中,英各一次. 一年有2次assessment. 佢地上課都係以活動形式為主, 但都要小朋友守常規, 因要適應小學既生活. 我大仔上小學就完全跟得上, 無論係學業, 常規, 佢都ok.

from below discussion, a mom said the local teachers in SN do not always communicate with kids in English, is it true? how about their ENglish Standard, do you know if they can speak accurately?

sometimes i am afraid if the local teachers still teach kids with the last letter as " e" "said " , not correct "Z".
by the way, did your elder son enter the primary school base on lucky draw or knock the door?
