My son just starts his kindergartan at 欣苗. Before that, I also chose between 欣苗 and 筲箕灣循道衛理. Eventaully I chose 欣苗.
I like the place - more spaceous and has an indoor playground for kids to do exercise/ playing toys. Each class got 15 kids. This year, they have 4 K1 classes - 3 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.
欣苗 displays the handcrafts (手工&勞作) from the kids at the entrance. It gives me the impression of creative and colourful. I want my boy to be more imaginative and creative.
It is still too early to comment their teaching. But so far so good - the teacher reported to me what happened to my boy during the first two weeks of schooling. My son cried in the first week and then no more crying now. He said he likes going to school last evening. I hope this can persist.
The school fee is HK$1750 per month which is HK$200 more expensive than 筲箕灣循道衛理. I think it is OK for me since it has better caring. In 循道衛理, I heard that it is 1:30 and got two teachers for one class , not sure. The outlook of 循道衛理 is more traditional, just the plain design.
Have a look at both kindergartens. The teaches are willing to conduct introduction to you. Also, I asked the mothers from both kindergartens and obtained their comment, including what primary schools the kids would go to. I hope this can help.  |
