如果你係澳洲citizen, 就算你喺香港讀IB都係domestic 條隊，唔關喺邊度讀事，報大學時都係經UAC, 以non standard 報而唔係睇ATAR 成續，international students 係直接向大學申請而唔經UAC, domestic 條隊一定係competitive 啲因為個學位係澳洲政府資助平好多。以medicine 為例，UNSW收domestic students 要IB 45, 而international students IB 43 已會consider.

至於ATAR 係唔係容易過IB, 我覺得未必,以澳洲自己本土個trend, 都係越嚟越多人讀IB, the top tier private schools 好多時會offer both IB n HSC (ATAR) pathways。

咁呢個係HSC 比較IB, 同international 定domestic 冇乜關係，可能可以check 下 D local forums. 我見過local 家長喺forum話多咗人讀IB因為容易啲入medicine，UNSW - HSC 都要ATAR 99.75 以上才有機會in , but I think this is a subjective comment. It also depends on 你小朋友target 係health science 邊個field。
另我有聽過citizens 都可以go for 自費位in certain subjects n certain universities, 而唔係好似以前citizens 一定要排domestic 條隊, money talks in the universities these days, 可向有興趣的university faculties 問吓，咁個academic 要求會低啲，無論IB or HSC. Hope you find  what you need.

One more point - 我知道澳洲local 由其喺啲大埠如Sydney/ Melbourne 補習風氣係好盛嘅，啲大陸、印度、韓國人，佢哋唔入private schools, 將啲錢洗係補習度谷入去selective schools ，所以我直覺上唔覺得ATAR 會容易過IB, but again this is subjective ，need to talk to more people to get a feel，不過IB係唔容易manage, 好多野要兼顧，要睇小朋友邊方面可發揮好啲。
