An overseas friend asked me such question, and I thought it would be interesting to hear consensus view from here. Excluding ESF helps eliminating distortion due to its much larger students/parents population.

depends on what your friend means by "top". If simply considers exam results, just search 2023 IB results in EK or in google.

International Schools:

CIS, GSIS, HKIS, CDNIS are the top ones that everyone fights to get in. Then you have SIS, Harrow, Kellett, CAIS which are "easier" to get in, but still hard.

Private Schools / DSS:

SPCC, PLKCKY, ISF, VSA, DGS, DBS which are the top ones people fight for. Hard to get in.
