VSA aims to reduce to 25 students in each class. The number of vacancies could be less in the future.

Your understanding on the acceptance rate is right. The intake rate of CWB and VEO has remained unchanged for many years. VSA accepts outsiders but it still has had little impact.
Since some students wouldn’t apply VSA, so the real chance should be higher.

I think students with stepping-up class should have higher chance in general.

Sorry I didn’t state clearly, I mean you will have the same chance as other current CWB students, if your child transfer to CWB from VEO

Do they have spots for k2? I don’t see it on their admissions page (not even k1). But I suppose some kids will transfer to other kindergartens and international schools so there must be spaces.
Would it be a bit late by k2? Especially if those that are eligible to attend step up class have already been chosen?

There isn’t a set application period for K2. You have to fill out the “e-preliminary record” form if you are interested. The school will contact you if a spot opens up.

I think it’s more like an investment. You pay double the school fee, so u will get higher chance.

If for VEO step-up, the odd is definitely lower than 90%.  Bear in mind that some parents will also apply other schools, and these other schools won't release result till end-23 or early-24 (say for 24/25 intake), so there are always chance on the waitlist.

You asked it several times. There is no new information but I try to make it clear for you

Its step up program provides higher chance but there is no guarantee path to success. I don’t have statistics, and what I know is that its success rate varies each year but generally it is quite similar to the rate of students from CWB Victoria.

As CKY and DBSPD are your top school preference, step up program is a good option to help your son to fulfil requirements of CKY and DBSPD. Additionally, you will have a higher chance to get the VSA offer as a back up plan.

Our kid joined one of VEO for K2.We got interview for VSA, same as everyone else.
Luckily we got in.

Quite a lot of preparation for interview. Recognising vocab. Story telling etc.

So getting in VEO K2 definitely helps.
