For easy comparison, all ESF IB results 2023 were extracted and ranked below (if one likes ranking) according to average score. Looks like even more result-oriented parents would be even more desperate to send their kids to STJS/STC for years to come.

ESF Overall: 36.1 (Avg) | 31.2% (40+)

1. STC: 37 (Avg) | 39.1% (40+)

2. RC: 37 (Avg) | 30% (40+)

3. KGV: 36.4 (Avg) | 31% (40+)

4. SIS: 36.1 (Avg) | 35% (40+)

5. IS: 36 (Avg) | ~30% (40+)

6. WIS: 36 (Avg) | 27% (40+)

7. DC: 34.7 (Avg) | 23.2% (40+)

如果比較2020年和pre covid的平均分, RC進步了不少, STC就保持到

Yes, RC 明顯進步左
如果比較數據，stc rc 平均分差不多，但 stc 39% 40+ , means 佢較低分既人數亦較多，stc個 range and variation 好大

Would also be interesting to know if there are significant differences in cohort size or are all the school sizes similar?

true, stc also has a lower % of getting the diploma - 96.2% vs RC 98%
ESF overall pass rate is 98%

Very true. STC seems to have a bigger range or distribution in statistics terms and they do have some under performing students. Thought the whole school was quite hothousing, might be wrong.

ESF 今屆整體是800多人考IBDP，過去大概是900 以上，相信是疫情加移離香港的數字有關。

用Sevenoaks跟St Paul Coed 比較會否更合適？
ESF的學校是較中產嘅選擇，STC的成績只是average 以上，未去到全體精英。至於學校，未必是「谷」，只不過相對多點亞洲/香港家長和學生，所以有較高期望及要求。

Sevenoaks 不是用來同stc 比較。我原意只是今年成績插兩分屬正常。周圍都係咁插

The 2nd table shows 2019 to 2023 results.  Hong Kong 2023 average drops by 1.96, but slightly higher than pre-covid

Sevenoaks無論是寄宿體驗，課外活動和成績各方面都很好的學校。幾年前收到Sevenoaks 6th Form 的取錄。因為主要想報美國大學，最後都沒有去到。

當時讀緊嘅學校IB平均成績38，最後選擇左去－間IB 35, 課外活動和各方面都好好的學校。

平均分高與低只是一個參考，還要看學校提供什麼科目選擇、對學生全面發展的培訓、升學的支援；ESF是中產較能負擔的學校，並沒有magic wand。

至於樓上問補習問題，其實是普遍現象，並不見得ESF特別多或少；感覺上高低分亦未必跟補習有關。

Sevenoaks, Wellington, CLC, Rugby (1st year IB result) 都around 38-38.x

請問有咩最大原因 令你揀咗另外一間學校instead of Sevenoaks, Sevenoaks 活動唔夠多嗎？
