I’m interested in getting my son in HKIS reception. Is that any PN or kindergarten that would put him in a higher chance of getting a spot on HKIS?

Dosen’t matter, any English heavy international kindi should be ok.

HKIS has quite a lot of openings in general.  Usually they are happy to accept anyone who has strong english and can pay their tuition fees.  I haven't heard too much competition to HKIS.

It’s a huge school with 2000+ students and the location is not too convenient for those living in Kowloon and NT, so the relative chance to get in is higher.
Albeit the high tuition fees, it provides great campus and facilities and is most suitable for those who mainly target US unis.
