It’s common for local parents to apply for everything and now they have extended the backup list to IS.
You should know your family background and values, expectations and the child’s character to choose the path. If you choose IS , you have to be strategic rather than applying for everything.
Swaying between both sides will complicate things and make double efforts and yet ends up futile. One who genuinely like the IS way is unlikely to be able to bear the LS system, unless one doesn’t have a full understanding of both systems.
Sometimes we found people around us to be appeared lucky in school hunting but that’s because they know their the kids so well, have done enough research, know what they want early on and stay focused and be strategic.

全世界都係一樣，唔單止香港，好學校競爭一定多，見唔到有一個地方例外
