Next time when you reference the ranking table, pay attention more to the weight and attributes, rather than just focusing on the overall result.
The key issues of this ranking table are
- some attributes are subjective, e.g. "Satisfied with X". You can see that St And are very high in these, but Oxbridge is n/a, which may cause St And to get a higher position.
- Nowadays, most of the commercial sectors will do market research. For instance, after talking with a hotline staff of a bank, she may request you for help. You may receive a survey call from their bank. She will remind you to give 10, as 9 is not accepted by their bank. Hence, the values of "Satisfied with X" like attributes are arguable.
In terms of the research achievement in the CS of St And, it is obvious that it can't compete with others, e.g., IC, UCL, not to mention Oxbridge. According to REF 2021, all these top research institutions have 4* > 90%. But, St And only reach 90% after including both 3* and 4*.
Your academic performance is good. When you consider your postgraduate study later, it is better for you to consult more advice to avoid an improper decision again.
