ESF or HKIS

我自己+siblings澳洲讀中學/大學，仔讀ESF嚟緊返澳洲升大學；姨甥（阿妹個仔）一家住台北，讀緊Taipei Ame ...

請問HKIS跟TAS是姊妹校是什麼意思呢？是否在其中一間就讀，申請另一間時有priority ？

另外想請問如何可以得知HKIS的姊妹校？我小朋友現就讀SAS，也想知道跟HKIS是否姊妹校，幾年後回港會否有priority 入HKIS？

1, 是。妹孩子正在讀TAS， 他之前有想過回港，有問過是可以直接轉過來。但不知最近有無改。

sas转来hkis很多的，是否有priority不知，但是学制一个ib 一个ap

SAS 只提供AP/AT課程，沒有IB課程的。

總體都滿意。學校硬件設施一流，老師非常caring ,小朋友返學好開心。當然中文一定唔好，讀國際預左。

Target英國澳洲就留ESF, target美國就HKIS，未決定都係ESF IGCSE + IB比較versatile。你一個定兩個小朋友、始終學費貴成倍。
HKIS係設施好學費亦反映了, 校風就HKIS比較美式睇你鐘唔鐘意，我有朋友嫌HKIS太大校鐘意人際close d及不喜歡太美式所以轉咗Kellet, 看自己喜好。
兩間covid時support和復課都處理得很好，看出是管理好的學校。

I think as many has already said, it depends what your end game is. If you want an American University, 100% it would mean you would go to HKIS for your best shot.
Based on the original poster's rationale of wanting to go to a UK/AU univeristy after secondary school, then it is of course straight forward answer to stick with ESF.  

I am not sure why you would even need to consider HKIS if your end destination is going to UK or AU?  If you look at the matriculation list, you can instantly see which universities majority of the students go to after secondary school.

HKIS culture also isn't for everyone. The parent network there is quite wide and expansive. Usually families with wealth go there because them aim for a top American university.  ESF on the other hand is more of a local modern Hong Kong society who does not want to force their kids to go to local schools due to their own personal experiences and pain/methods of studying.  So they naturally want an easier life for their kids in ESF (which is true, it is a happy school).

Target UK and Australia will stay at ESF, target US will stay at HKIS, both ESF IGCSE + IB are more versatile. You decide two children...

Kids don't need "big" schools.
What kids need is a good teacher, a high morale culture, and a good company of friends and student body who support one another and bring each other up (not down).

I am sure when you apply HKIS, you must have your reason for that!  Other than the curriculum which kind of dictating where to go for undergrads, HKIS should offer more resources to kids than that of ESF given the tuition they charge.  HKIS’ parent network is a lot stronger too, and this is of course a longer term investment for your kids.  I have many friends studying at  ESF back then, but they don’t send their kids back to ESF if they opt for IS route.  So it is all about picking a school which you feel comfortable with.
