Youweird Posted on 22-5-8 11:14 When
we went to HKIS in G2, we felt that the school had very strict requirements on children's behavioral norms, but the basic requirements for academics were very low. The school takes children's mental health very seriously. ...
I think as many has already said, it depends what your end game is. If you want an American University, 100% it would mean you would go to HKIS for your best shot.
Based on the original poster's rationale of wanting to go to a UK/AU univeristy after secondary school, then it is of course straight forward answer to stick with ESF.
I am not sure why you would even need to consider HKIS if your end destination is going to UK or AU? If you look at the matriculation list, you can instantly see which universities majority of the students go to after secondary school.
HKIS culture also isn't for everyone. The parent network there is quite wide and expansive. Usually families with wealth go there because them aim for a top American university. ESF on the other hand is more of a local modern Hong Kong society who does not want to force their kids to go to local schools due to their own personal experiences and pain/methods of studying. So they naturally want an easier life for their kids in ESF (which is true, it is a happy school).
