2022/23中一自行分配學位面試安排

1. 鑑於近日 2019 冠狀病毒病疫情轉趨嚴峻，本年度中一自行分配學位面試將改為網上進行。此外，申請人亦需提交其錄像短片。

2. 本校將於3月初寄出通知函予申請人，並會在3月4日透過申請表上提供的電郵向申請人發放網上面試的具體安排、細則、相關短片製作及呈交指示。 若家長/監護人於3月4日下午3時後仍未接獲通知函或電郵，請電郵[email protected] 與本校職員聯絡。

3. 申請人需在3月9日下午5時或以前提交其錄像短片。

4. 網上面試日期為2022年3月19日(星期六)。所有申請人均會獲邀參加網上個人面試。

5. 修訂評分標準
本校將按以下經校董會批准之修訂準則錄取本年度之申請者：

In accordance with the latest EDB guidelines, all face-to-face interviews for S1 Discretionary Places have been cancelled. Online interviews will be conducted on 4 & 5 March 2022. Further details will be sent to all applicants via email latest by 28 February 2022. If you do not get our email by 1 March 2022, please call the school office on 23362378 during office hours.

In view of the severe condition of the COVID-19 pandemic in Hong Kong, the interviewfor the S1 Discretionary Places Application (2022-2023) will be cancelled. Instead,selected applicants (based on EDB’s Rank Order List and the applicant’s conduct asindicated in our Explanatory Notes for Application) are required to submit a 5-minutevideo presentation in English. The weighting of this video-based assessment will bethe same as that of the interview in the selection criteria. The length, format,content of the video and the procedure of uploading the video will be furtherexplained in the letters to be mailed to the selected applicants.

New Arrangement of Secondary One Discretionary Place Admission

In view of the latest situation of the epidemic, the selection procedures of Secondary One Discretionary Place Admission will be adjusted as below:

1. The first interview which was originally scheduled on 5 March 2022 will be cancelled.  

2. Students' academic results, rank order provided by EDB and extra-curricular activities/ awards/ prizes/ outstanding achievements will be assessed. Not less than 100 short-listed applicants will be invited to attend an interview scheduled within the period 14 – 19 March 2022. An invitation letter of the interview, including the detailed arrangements, will be sent out on 7 March 2022.

3. Selection Criteria and Weighting (revised)
(i) Interview - 15%;
(ii) Academic results and rank order - 70%;
(iii) *Conduct; ECAs / Awards / Prizes - 15%
# The conduct grades must be B or above.

New Arrangements of 2022-2023 S1 Discretionary Places

Tak Oi Secondary School is a Catholic school for girls. English is used as the medium of instruction except for the subjects: Chinese Language, Chinese History, Putonghua as well as Ethics and Religious Education.

Number of S1 Discretionary Places: 40

In view of the latest epidemic development and taking into consideration of the applicants’ health and safety, the School has made new arrangements regarding the S1 Discretionary Places Interview originally scheduled on 5th March 2022 (Sat). The new arrangements are as follows:

1. The S1 Discretionary Places Interview originally scheduled on 5th March 2022 (Sat) will be cancelled and assessed by the Video clips submitted by applicants.

2. Please note that the admission criteria and weighting have been adjusted as follows:

4. Applicants have to upload the video clip to the specified school google drive by the assigned deadline and the details will be informed by the email on 4th March 2022 (Fri).

5. Successful applicants for S1 Discretionary Places will be notified by mail and phone on 31st March 2022 (Thu). Parents concerned do not need to reply to the notification.

NOTICE ON THE REPLACEMENT OF 'FACE-TO-FACE INTERVIEW' BY 'HOME ASSESSMENT' IN S1 DISCRETIONARY PLACES APPLICATION 2022-23

Concerning the arrangement of S1 Discretionary Places Application Interview, in view of the latest coronavirus pandemic situation, the ‘Face-to-face Interview’ will be replaced by ‘Home Assessment’ in order to minimize applicants’ potential health risk. Details may refer to the notification letter issued by our school.

All notification letters were mailed on 18th Feb.,2022. Should parents not receiving those by 1st March, 2022, they may fill in the Google Form (https://forms.gle/KEA8ALe9Mugku9yM8) attached below. Our school will contact individual parents and follow up. For parents who have received the letters, please send back a related message to our school by following the instruction guidelines stated in the letter by 1st March, 2022.
