個agent話明天去佢office簽租約,過數後(6個月租金十5星期按金)就比鎖匙我哋自己開門 ... You can (1) ask the agent to provide evident (called land registry in UK) to show the landlord (who sign the contract) is the true legal owner of the property, (2) ask if the property is fully managed by the agent under the contract team (better management than the owner whoever itself). Therefore whenever you need repair, emergancy work needed to be done, you can agent who is responsible. And if it is under agent management, you should pay to agent, otherwise pay to landlord personally, before you sign the contract. And (3) when moving in, they should have a inventory taking of the flat (furnitures, machines), carried out by a third party professional company.
