You may choose to purchase the refundable debenture or pay non-refundable annual capital levy

that means it makes no difference in admission whether i go for debenture or annual capital levy?

i just went to its open day tdy and i am quite into it (but i agree there is almost no outdoor space for students and its dusty), tho the feeling is much different with malvern (i went to the campus tour as well), so I would love to know more.

Thanks a lot!!

No difference for admission. You can decide which option to take after you receive an offer...

Yes, phase II is on the way and with a construction site next to the campus now, they can only go outdoor at the back of the school. Hopefully the environment will be improved next school year.

I’m not familiar with Malvern, but besides the curriculum, another major difference would be religion.  CAIS is a Christian school, and they focus a lot on Christian values.

But the 560k debenture is transferable (1% admin fee will be charged), so you can kinda get it back.

CAIS is only going for IBDP, so Alberta curriculum all the way to Grade 10.
From what I heard in their info session, students can either continue Grade 11 & 12 in Alberta curriculum or switch to IBDP after Grade 10. Not sure if they have quotas on either "stream" though.

thanks for ur kind info!

Does it mean that their IB teaching standard may not be solid enough if just start from grade 11, ie just prepare for the exam?

Also may I know wht does transferrable mean, does it mean the same as refundable? Sorry for the silly question but I just wana clarify, Thanks

Transferable means your debenture can be transferred to another student. According to the school, they will handle the transfer for you.
However... what if when you leave and no new students decide to get the debenture (and opt for the annual levy option), are you still allowed to transfer your debenture to the school first?  That I am not sure and have not asked the school.

As for preparing for IBDP.. I have no clue either as my child is still in K1 and I am totally lost in my primary school hunting process -- the different curriculum and entry age are driving me crazy
