如果香港passport, 現在才申請Reception, 是否沒有機會？還是照排waiting?

那一年reception ? 2020? Reception 係mass intake , 咪搏吓囉。點都有local passport 入到的。

Thank you. Yes 2020. Coz I found this from the school website.

In accordance with the Education Department and Immigration Department regulations, our school has a quota for Hong Kong passport holders for the Tseung Kwan O campus in place. Unless your child holds another passport, we will not be able to proceed with the rest of his/her admission as we currently have no places left available.

Last week we have been informed by FIS admissions team that there are no more quota for SAR passport holders for TKO campus for any year group including reception (as the 2% SAR passport holders are already used up for current students). All parents are encouraged to apply for JL campus instead. They would only consider a place if any SAR passport students leave the TKO campus.

Why only 2% for HK passports? I think JL is easier since there are more expats on HKI. If you really like FIS worth to move out a bit, like south side of kowloon  eg Whampoa. Since there are more choices on HKI.

98% is the percentage that FIS committed to when they competed for the piece of land in TKO.

The quota calculation probably includes the French stream. The French stream rarely has any local passport holder and it has lower secondary grades in TKO...If so, the international stream has room to take 3-4 local passport holders (on average).

Just curious if PRC passport holders will have more chance to get in than HK passport holders?  Consider the school is utilising the land and other resources of Hong Kong, don’t know why HK passport holders are discriminated against.

PRC passport holders are regarded as foreigners so they have indeed a higher priority compared to locals for FIS Tko campus. As this is a policy made by HK government there is not much one can do. Some schools like ICS require 90% HKSAR passport holders (forgive if I got the percentage wrong) and it's just the same story for foreigners.
