Anyone gets the offer for Abacus K1 for 2019? Can you share the deadline to revert the acceptance?

My boy is placed on the waitlist but the email said he is in the top 10 of the list, any current ESF parents can share if he has the chance to get the offer? Thank you so much!

Did you get a call from the school eventually?

My son is on the waitlist as well. Just wonder if anyone on the waitlist has received a call.

Yes we got the offer last week.
Reply deadline is 1/3, so may have some places come up!

I just called the school. My son is on the top 10-20 but they are unwilling to disclose the exact position. They said the line is moving but there is no guarantee for a place at the end. So gotta go for plan B.

Hi, I am planning to apply for K1 for 2020/21.  Any tips on getting into abacus K1?  I learnt that there are playgroups organized at Abacus.  Is it good to join?

- only 96 places in total (only 1 English class and 1 bilingual class per session)
- no primary admissions priority from the kindergarten if joining from K2 (need to join before K1 term 3)- very unlikely to have places (waiting list from K1 central applications and late K1 applications, those will be rolled over to K2 applications)
- even there will be vacancies, they will be likely taken up by internal transfer (i.e. from Tung Chung)

that's mean some apply k1 on waiting list maybe successful for k2.
And now more difficult for primary admissions? because those who join from k1 can direct go for primary?

We also got the offer yesterday! But seems there is no whatsapp group. There are a few parents here. Perhaps we can form a group amongst ourselves?
