GOGOVAN, 創辦人未夠三十歲,創業成功,會考三次,一樣有機會成功,GEM就係把握國內機會成功發展,世界變左 ... Sorry, just for convenient and using English to reply.
From your tone, I can tell you are one of those look down upon our younger generation, some of the younger generation are really hopeless and most of them just need a bit of support and push, of course need some sort of encouragement.
Based on my personal experience to mentor university students, they tried very hard to progress and the chances are limited, they don't mind to get a low pay and less decent jobs and climb the career ladder afterward, go for master degree as part time etc. Because of luck, some are working for EMSD, MNC, of course some may go for entrepreneurship, most are working for SME and the jobs are not related to their disciplines, they are keep on trying.
Also, you like to use single case to generalise your pre-conclusions. Before and after GoGoVan and GEM, how many failed in different attempts. Why GEM went to mainland? Why not Andy Lau and Jacky Cheung? If The younger generation go to overseas, just like GEM not successful in HK and go somewhere else. Moreover, more singers in China than HK ..... also start when they are age of 5 or even lower.
FYI, LaLaMove is bigger and better than GoGoVan, but GoGoVan has more media coverages under HKSTP - "The Hero" program.
