WYHK's problem may be caused by: -
1. quality of the students of its feeder primary school (i.e. proportion of band 1 students); and
2. the number of band 1 students of feeder primary school "jump ship" and go to other band 1 secondary schools

Students spending six years at WYHK should not be put as scapegoats for deteriorating school academic performance.
The core issue, I think, lies in the quality of teaching.

agreed WYHK should reflect on its own curriculum and teaching quality instead of just blaming its feeder school..
however, the mediocre DSE results of WYHK in recent years already discourage some band 1 students of its feeder school to put it as a first at discretionary stage of SSPA - this is a vicious cycle to further deteriorate the DSE results of WYHK.

所以港華一定晤會係1A~B中學

其實港華想轉直資，是否想copy SPC翻身的做法？

we should give credit to the new principal and his teaching staff for the recent success of SPC.
schools like DBS, SPC and WYK show obvious improvement in their public exam results after their new principals are on board. i don't think it is just a coincidence. they must have done something right to put the school back on track.

頭三間中學，得SJC學校沒有自設泳池，有咁成績真係了不起！

RC 有公佈dse level 4 成績，進步中

WYHK 校方完全唔反醒，用30年前那套，讓學生自由學習， 30年前盡收band1A 就是自由自主學習， 今時今日收了很多band1C band 2A，等於24-44 percentile 的學生，屬於5個band 時代的band 2 生。自由放任等於自生自滅。

港華呢幾年喺學界D1游泳都係做升降機, 11年同16年都試過跌落D2。

是真也是假，真係因為港華真係跌到B1C，假係因為其實最差時連B1C都無。不過，我反而覺得邊緣人值得讀，我估學校既小班教育應該有一定既幫助。

三年前見前副校長係天橋絕食抗議學校既政策；前校長係法庭上話自己唔識英文。不過換咗新校長之後，有唔少改變，應該會慢慢好返。
