I will not quite recommend this school to anyone as I think their admin is messy.
The only advantage of this school is they have many good/qualified teachers,...that's why their student admission % to University is at 100%, most of them can enter high rated U. 我同其他同學家長都對呢間學校又愛又恨

We chose Lakefield College School in Ontario, Canada because my son is strong in Math and science subjects. He has a great chance to study science or engineering in North America universities. When we consider the development of engineering and science fields in North America, there will be more opportunities in research or future career for him. The most important point is that Canada is still quite welcome international students to work and stay after graduation. We all know that there is no 100% guarantee you can find a job after graduation. It all depends on your effort and chances. 《事在人為》。
Another thing which push us to make this decision is the aggravation of Hong Kong's situation because the one country two system would no longer be maintained in the next few years.

Those who have become custodians of the children of their friends / relatives should understand the full responsibilities of such role in legal aspects.

I came to know a case that the custodian wasn't aware of such huge responsiblities until one day he was asked to go to do notary. He got fainted....

Parents should understand they may have been able to enjoy the free education for a limited amount of money (tuition fees only don't cost much) compared to the cost of transferring your custodianship of your children to another person whom you think he/she can truly take up the role in place of yourselves? How much your friend/relative would really contact him/her? How close they can monitor your own children?

think twice.

Agreed.
I am totally shocked to read it in EK that many parents are doing this, and they appears to feel proud of being able to find a loop hole for them to safe money.
The legal consequences is unimaginable.
In any case, Canadian government seem too be a lot smarter than many other government. Not sure how they can do it so fast but they have already implemented lots of policies or laws to prevent people taking advantage.
