睇咗咁多，點解會覺得咁容易買到大麻？要食大麻都要用好多錢㗎！
有好多野都係謠傳，我仔去咗加拿大已四年，佢好似之前網友講多左機會做GYM，生活除讀書就係去玩自已鐘意嘅運動，佢算幾鐘意加拿大。
另外，在加讀書實在並不輕鬆，尤其係SCIENCE科目，如果你想入心怡大學，一定係同全省嘅G12競爭，入到之後亦唔易讀，差不多每晚都要開夜車做功課及溫習。⋯⋯所以如果在香港讀唔上，在加拿大亦一定會辛苦⋯⋯尤其英文不達標的話，係要考到合格先可以入U的。

唔好意思而家仔大了，好少上BK，sorry咁遲至回覆。我仔讀私立中學，我覺得間學校麻麻，行政都幾混亂，我仔及好多同學仔都唔太鐘意呢間學校的，不過最後我地班家長都覺得同學仔好多都入到排名10大的大學，又無學壞，對呢間學校又愛又恨，中學兩年都係住學校，都幾無啖好食的，大部份同學都瘦了，我仔以前係小肥仔，讀完兩年瘦30磅，而家都keep到，因為佢嘅生活裏充滿運動
以我仔黎講加拿大頗合佢的，而且大學學費＋生活住宿比英國便宜好多，科技學術水平高，應真唔易讀

絕對係吖⋯⋯以仔間大學為例，煙都唔俾食，點可以咁公開地開大麻派對？網上好多野都唔真實的，如果你識到啲壞朋友又另計，但好的大學基本上啲學生都唔得閒搞呢啲野，佢地真係好忙的。

前排大麻啱啱合法化，各大whatsapp group 瘋傳去加拿大買手信隨時會買到大麻造o既食物返嚟做手信，又話擔心中招，又鬧加拿大冇腦，我真係睇到眼都突埋。

其實上網做一下fact check有幾難呢?

煙酒o係香港亦係合法，亦有最低購買年齡規定，咪一樣大把 "小朋友" 從不法途徑買到??

主要家庭由細灌輸正確o既健康生活同交友觀念係咪比較重要呢??

Did your son have an interview with Lakefield yet？Have you considered Pickering College?

My son is waiting for the arrangement of interview of Lakefield. I guess it is coming soon. So I let him have some interview technique lessons by a experienced foreign tutor. He learnt a lot like not to say Yes or No without any further explaination etc.I also take a look at the Web Site of Pickering College with my son. We found that this college is not our type we want. So Lakefield is the only school we applied. Our plan B is to continue his secondary school F.5 & F.6 ,and sit for the DSE. Then we use the DSE result to apply universities in North America or Australia.
We may also consider UK, but UK is not welcoming foreign students to work after graduation. This is a big problem to think about. We prefer our son to work and seek more opportunities in North America or Australia since the future and prospect of Hong Kong are not so good.
If my son can study Gade 11 in Lakefield, he can adapt Canadian life from a pretty good beginning. He is also quite mature and independent.

Why Lakefield is the only type of school suitable for your son?  I thought those boarding schools are kind of similar...I know Lakefield has a much bigger campus though with a lake beside it which allows students more opportunities to do outdoor activities.

You asked a good question. Why we chose Lakefield? Actually it is just a mixed reasoning of objective observation and subjective intuition. Each child is unique. Basically, Lakefield is a good college. You may ask that there are also many good colleges out there. They still have a lot of differences in style. I will conclude in one sentence that the style of Lakefield matches my son's types of learning and sport. I would like to talk to you personally in details if you want.

Lakefield College School accepted my son to Grade 11 at 2019-20 school year. He will start a new school life in Canada on his own.

Poeple said that the Competition of applying this school is quite high. My son needs to take a 3.5weeks summer ESL course in Lakefield since his English standard is just average. We are thinking about trying to apply for scholarship because my son' Math and Science Subjects are good.

congratulations.  It's a good school.

We applied for Lakefield on our own. We did not get any help from any education consultants.My son just filled the application form online himself. Then I paid the Can$200 application fee by credit card.
He did the online English Entrance Test about a week later. It was a combination of questions about grammar, reading comprehension and a short essay with few hundred words. I remembered the topic was about the influences of aging problem. The time limit is 20minutes.
We then submitted the school academic reports. They want the F.3 final and the latest F.4 reports. Any academic, music, outdoor,sport merits or distinction obtained at school or outside school are recommended to submit.
Write a formal letter to local school request for a confidential teacher reference about my son' every aspects at school.
Lakefield would schedule a online interview with my son. The time is 9:30pm at Hong Kong and 8:30am at Ontario. There is no fixed time limit for the interview. We expected that it would last for 15 to 20 minutes. My son just kept talking. They even talked about 'Grimme', the Netflix drama.I think it was really '口水多過浪花'。
Then we wait for Lakefield decision. The whole process lasted for about 2 months.
