Dear Parents,

My girl starting cello since she was six. The progess is much better than piano. She is 8 yrs old and learning grade 4. So, I think kid can handle very well if they love that instructment.

Dear cello07,

I cannot remember exactly which book he used when he first started the cello lesson at five.  But he was using the "Suzuki Cello School, Volume 2" when he took the grade 2 exam at seven.

He is now using Volume 5 of the same book and "Alwin Schroeder Volume 3".  He will be nine this September, and is going to take the grade 5 exam in October.

我個女都係3年級開始學, 用3/4琴, 係學校小組學, 今年會考一級, 不過佢好懶, 唔係幾肯練琴, 不過因為佢學開鋼琴, 有D樂理底, 而且學校有管弦樂團, 可以夾BAND, 所以好玩D, 我都想搵琴行單對單補, 但都幾貴。

我唔記得書名, 好似之前學綠色面, 而家係橙色, 我今晚返屋企先話比你知書名啦。

其實你可以問Miss, 我地係因為學校出通告然後一齊報, 我報完先知大提琴組得我女一個報, 其他家長都話不如一考就考3級, 但我個女今年都5年級, 我都想佢考試, 等佢有d壓力。

junjunmimi : My boy has been learning cello for 4 yeras now since 5, when he was in K3. His progress has been quite good because he can read the music fast. He'll take his grade 5 exam this October.

You can check with your cello teacher about the weak points of your daughter and what should be done to overcome them.  Then make sure your child has done enough practice on that before every tuition.

Also ask your daughter to practise the scales every day.  As for the aural part, I think that would be alright if she had taken the piano exam before (since both are the same).  The sight reading part should be very simple compared with piano.

Don't worry, on the whole grade 1 exam is quite easy.

Hello, 各位. 我是新加入的, 很高興有這個方跟各位媽咪交流, 我也有些問題想問大家.

1. 小女剛學cello, 上了兩堂. 但不知是否年紀太小(6 yrs old, 用1/4 琴), 或是她不小心, 看見她上堂就驚險，個琴有幾次都差d跌，應該係 “扇”開黎，有次真係向側跌, 好彩隔離個同學(年紀較大) 及時幫佢扶住。請問有咩辦法解決這問題?

2. 還有, 你們的孩子在家練琴時坐什麼椅子呢? 我見小女坐梳化和兒童椅則太矮 (相比下個琴好好，要吊起隻手拉), 坐餐

1. 去通利弦樂部買隻叫"飛碟", 用了就不會 “扇”開.

2. 唔好坐梳化, 太林了!  jusco有張可調高低的凳, 好啱較細的小朋友拉cello用, 不過成300元.

3. 我用一個ｃｅｌｌｏ架放”洞”起個cello.

4. 有譜架好d.

5. 當然1:1最好啦

我無用"big麗珠"，　通常用乾布抹開白粉就抹一抹就算．

白色粉係"查"完松香, 會有D白色粉走出黎.
