I know almost all kids in my daughter's class play some form of computer games but most of them (in fact I have not heard of any one addicted) have self control and play it only as one of many things to have fun.

在中學部，不要expect個老師好似阿媽咁成日no no no; 上課是聽書、做classwork 定遊魂遊戲，從來是學生自己一個選擇。

一年多前當Pokémon 盛行時，我仔學校的老師在lunchtime 還専門攪了個捉精靈隊，齊齊出學校附近散步捉精靈，我覺得ok喎。

小學上課做class work 時，老師已經會播流行歌曲陪伴做習作，所以依家個個都鐘意帶headphone聽歌做功課。這些practice跟我們不同，但不一定不好。

But how about playing computer games during lessons and every break at school?

No, my friend told me it’s when the students doing their own work in class, teacher killed time in his seat playing games on the computer, and then a student went out to ask something saw it.

我自己的孩子相信不會，但其他人如何我不敢講。

學校老師每人有自己的尺，我不勉強。

有些學校嚴、有些寬，是自然的事；就如拍拖問題，學校有不同處理。

個別老師未能自律，可向校方反映。

most of them not in the lessons, I cant say there are no kids trying to play during lessons.but according to my daughter and her own behaviour, most people have good self control.

Hey, I remember I sneaked in games during class when I was a secondary student, I turned out ok.

有時自己開工也有聽私人電話。。。邊個無？老師不太過分，我不會介意，其實老師kill time, 不打機，上FB又係未一樣。太過分當然不可以，大人細路一樣。

我有一段時期見女兒在家對住電腦，一時打機，一時U tube, 一時做功課，不斷交差，我有開一聲話佢，但女兒話 I know what I am doing.

我見佢功課又0K，無再理佢，信佢。I accepted that it is their new way of working, "multitasking", which we older people don't understand and shouldn't force kids to go our old way.

Secondary school students they should be in control of their lives. Parents would be mentors. If they insist they throw their lives away, they will find a way no matter what parents do.

阿仔學校初小時有用online game sumdog去温習數學，另外仲有其他遊戲邊玩邊學。

And in the future, we will cellular phones in our cars and even in our bodies, with portable computers, electronic mail, computer shopping, smart television, narrowcasting, and personal robots, we will have more and more ways  to stay busier and busier and to do more things simultaneously, with expectations rising accordingly. We can drive and do business, we can exercise and process information, we can read and watch television, or have split screens so that we can watch two, three or four things at once on television. We will never be out of touch with the world.

我從前也會開電視機／收音機做功課。現在做司機時也一定要開收音機。

那麼如果老師在學生做堂課時，備課又如何？答家長電郵又如何？看書呢？追小說呢？睇漫畫呢？...
家長當然對老師在學生面前做什麼會著緊，因為老師係學生的 role model。不過，老師這些行為，好唔好都好，其實同學校有沒有讓學生用電腦沒有太大關係。

Multitasking may not be suitable for all kids, but my child (and many of her classmates) are really fast thinkers, they need a rest mentally more frequently, multitasking is just natural to them.
