請問現正申請英國大學考ielts是否一定考UKVI academics呢隻？e+要幫囡報名，但驚報錯...因為都唔平

要academic但不一定報UKVI. 有啲U唔知點解咁無知, 要UKVI . 之前重多, 而家少左好多. 如target 嘅U都唔使UKVI, 就無所謂.

如果你要申請student visa，就要UKVI。

唔一定要考 UKVI 的，好多大學都只係需要考 IELTS Academic 就可以了，可到想報的各間大學網站查證清楚才決定考那一個。

例如，Oxford:
IELTS: overall score of 7.0 (with at least 7.0 in each of the four components). We recommend that you take the IELTS academic option. The IELTS General, IELTS UKVI General and IELTS life skills options are not suitable for admission. The IELTS UKVI Academic test can be accepted but is not recommended, as this is more expensive than the IELTS Academic test and is not offered in as many countries or centres worldwide so it may be difficult to book an appointment.

又例如，Cambridge:
IELTS Academic – normally a minimum overall grade of 7.5, usually with 7.0 or above in each element, achieved in one sitting
For some visa types, UK Visas and Immigration requires a Secure English Language Test (SELT) such as IELTS for UKVI (Academic). However, in accordance with Tier 4 policy, as Cambridge is an HEI it is able to accept other English Language qualifications it deems suitable when sponsoring Tier 4 student visas so a SELT is not necessary and the standard IELTS Academic test is acceptable.

至於申請 student visa，大學只要係 tier 4 sponsor HEI (Higher Education Institute) 就有權自行 assess 學生的英文水準，所以要到相關大學網站查清楚它們的 English language requirements。
