我報告下我所見所聞：
BAND1頭及中的學生都冇乜問題，華英開平迦密黃笏南，要乜有乜。見到有個年年全級頭幾名的學生，第一志願搏喇沙失敗，第二入銀禧。

BAND1尾和BAND2尾的學生便麻煩些，可能是因為升中生減少，某些學校預計學生的banding似乎不準確，以前沿用每個BAND學生的數目有變，令學校以為某些其實是BAND2學生是BAND1，BAND3學生是BAND2（全屬本人猜測）。

那些學生便慘了，以為是BAND1，填晒迦密開平，結果連丘佐榮陳瑞棋五旬節胡兆幟都冇，要去到十幾志願蔡功譜聖三一。如果係BAND1，點轆都唔會轆過陳瑞棋五旬節胡兆幟，冇理由以上3間全屬BAND1架。如果一早知道係BAND2，揀以上3間係頭3志願應該冇問題。BAND2尾的學生亦然，以為有機會入五旬節胡兆幟，點知去左馬鞍山將軍澳。

另陳瑞棋、五旬節、胡兆幟的收生似乎好轉，應該沒有BAND3生，因為有BAND2都入不到。

Is it the problem on the approaching?  We are Yau Tsim Mong net, kids allocated to 循遁/鄧肇堅 EMI even they are in the middle of band 2 (we guess, may be band 2 頭, sure not in band 1).  They placed them in the 1st and then 2nd may be DSS EMI, then 3rd on are the good reputation CMI.

This is the observation of our school only, but not for the whole net in Yau Tsim Ming, that why I said it may be the problem on the approaching.

You are really an expert of Kln City, may I ask your opinion about Holy Family Canossian College, what is her standard now?  How is she compared with Wa Ying, Carmel, Wong Fut Lam?  Better or worse?

Besides, anbrewbaba said that Wa Ying is better than Heen Yunn, do you agree? (Heen Yunn did not publish her results)

根據我d教書朋友講, 基本上英中都實係band1.  點解循遁/鄧肇堅 EMI  係band2呢?  會唔會有數據架?  我小朋友讀循小, 所以比較關心循中.  但係一路見初中教育d到對循中既評價都好低...所以有d擔心.  請分享.

其實唔洗太在意,係好學校讀得唔好(班無十名內),又係得個吉,最緊要小朋友讀得開心,健健康康,唔好學壞就得啦.

最近報章報導,聖三一堂中學英文水平較差.
有朋友個小朋友讀聖三一堂小學,佢話band1-2 都唔選佢

派了第二志願, 德蘭中學
幼稚園 根德園> 九龍真光小學> 1st choice 九龍真光中學

(她小五時呈分 band3, 小六升為 band2, 最後六下成績為band1, 更得了下學成績優異及進步生)

I know a BAND2 girl in Yau Tsim Mong district who got into Tang Shiu Kin too.

I don't have recent info on HFCC.  From what I saw a few years back, she should be on par with Wa Ying or Hoi Ping, a little bit higher than Carmel and WFN.  But as I said, I don't have much recent data on HFCC.  See if others can provide more info.

Wa Ying and HYS are two different type of schools.  In academics, Wa Ying might be better than HYS. (I don't have hard data.  Just from plain observation.)  But I like HYS more.  She can provide a more complete "package" for a girl in the form of sports, academics, culture, and spirit.  I love schools with a strong spirit.
