If you choose SHK, unless parents have points to enter SPCC.  Otherwise, we hard to get into SPCC.  Also, SHK's syllabus is not hard and too relax to handle P1 interviews.  You need to add extra for Eng, Chinese & Maths.

If you choose KV, they can train up your son to be better Chinese and Maths.  It is good for academic type schools - SPCC, DBSPD, SFA, APS, KTS, RC.....  No doubt if you go to knock door to government schools, KV is reputable for good training in taking good entrance test.  You will have no worries.
