I have similar concern too.
May I ask if my understanding is correct?
For primary school (say ESF), other than school fee, we may need:-
(a) a computer, (b) the cost for field trip (less than or around a hundred) a few times per year, (c) in higher years, go camping in hong kong once a year (don't know the fee, but i guess less than $10,000).
For secondary school, in higher years (or every year?) they need to do CAS. students can go to Nepal to teach eng, to Cambodia to build a house, or stay in hk to learn horse riding or do voluntary work in cross road. It seems to be not too costly. Of course, they can go to spain to learn spainish, or go kayaking in France.
For private tutorial classes, i understand some do and some dont take. But if they take private tutorial classes, its more expensive than the one for DSE students. (but no idea how expensive it is)
Other than the above, is there a lot of money we may spend?
Fees for university overseas, its too far away, i can only say i would try my best to send my kids to study overseas.
Many thanks.
