2 is better.

Halloween is not the party, it's the festival.

"Celebrate" is mainly used as a transitive verb (需要 object), you celebrate something. Same as for words like "clean", "play", "kick", "see", you need an object to follow these words.

I clean the table.
I play the piano.
I kick the ball.
I see you.
I celebrate Halloween. Halloween was the festival that celebrates the end of harvest season.

我有一個問題請教。

阿妺舊年教can同can't時, 有同學仔寫 I can't push on the platform. 但老師話唔好, 佢話push要push something / somebody, 唔好只寫push。點知, 好死唔死教科書入面正正有句一模一樣, 咁老師唯有計返啱。其實係老師啱定教科書啱? 我查字典又無好明確講, 雖然我細個時, 我老師好似係教老師講既標準。

I tend to agree with the teacher.

即意思係「月台上不準推撞」? 一定要用 can't?  本書例子係 ”I can't push in the platform"?

OMG such a poor example.

First, for Platform we don't normally use "in".

Second, of course "I can push someone on the platform".  Can I?  Of course I can.  I move my hand to push someone. I have the ability to push someone.  But I am not allowed to push someone on the platform.

sorry, 係我寫錯咗, 係on the platform。我剩係記得老師既解釋, 佢話push一般後面會有嘢, 唔會只話push, 書入面係寫Don't push on the platform.至啱 個圖係叫小朋友响月台唔好推撞。

事源有張work sheet, 係填充, 個同學仔填 Don't push on the platform. 老師話錯, 上堂解釋俾大家聽, 返到屋企俾家長發現教科書入面個example, 於是同老師理論, 咁咪啱返囉。因為响whatsapp谷入面提出嚟討論過, 所以我先有D印象。仲衰到一早唔話書有咁既example, 等我表態話老師啱, 咁跣人。

push應該可以作transitive or intransitive,參考下以下呢個例子:

[size=0.8em]B1

[size=0.8em][ I or T, usually + adv/prep ]

[size=1.125]to move forcefully, especially in order to cause someone or something that is in your way to move, so that you can go through or past them:

Stop pushing - wait your turn.

原來係咁。

Push normally has an object. Like the teacher said. but sometimes has no objects.I think in this case the book's sentence is acceptable.But I don't like the "on the platform".Specifying "on the platform" means they can push each other on the train?

又話教 can't

2個例子意思唔同喎,或者第1個example可以轉換成don't push係咪易啲理解?

原來係咁。

隔咗成年咁耐, 有D mix up丫嘛。應該係教do & don't。

可能响月台推撞會跌落路軌死人, 車廂入面最多俾人眼超超。

Push in itself can be a noun.
我只不過想講個verb係咪一定要後加個direct object(i.e. a transitive verb),gerund只不過將個verb轉做noun form,應該唔影響呢個特性?
btw, 呢個係cambridge字典畀嘅example(push verb),佢用錯唔關我事
