補充一點，事實在大學裏，電腦相關的學科很多時數學及物理不是必然的入學條件，不知是幸運還是不幸，偏偏放在工程學院。

我以前已經講過，因為UGC的要求大學作學院制收生，才會遷就電腦，個收生標準奇形怪狀的，降至最低收生標準，現在唯有靠院校自己改收生標準及用學系或學科制收生，加上加權指數來收生。

HKlE 是不會買 UGC 帳，學生晤夠水準畢業，sorry 該學科會不被承認，too bad. HKlE 的建議，大學一定要聽！

正確地說，能夠畢業機會高些，是否一級榮譽就看其他同學的程度，還有拉 curve 的結果！

個人覺得而家好多巧立名目既學科，只係D 教授為昇職攪多個山頭。出來做野，都係D 傳統學科跨界兼顧更合適。

當年BBA 就係巧立名目，搶高分既學科之一。

我所知，它是在中大工程學院收生最高的學科，同時是香港收生最多的BME課程。

BME 最早開始是理大，港大，中大，然後是城大。今次中大是香港第一個升格由interdisciplinary program 至學系！

報導不是完全正確，學科在2010開始收生，已經有畢業生，今次只是正式以BME Dept 收生。以前是附屬於EE學系。課程在2012年左右已經得到 HKIE 專業審批！

這科 Phy M1/M2 是十分重要，Bio 可以開學之後補充！這科學分要求在工程學院是最高的，如果想hea 讀，搵其他科目。

約 26%畢業生上研究院，然後是跟醫療設備工程，銷售及售後服務相關工作！這科是較多繼續研究，中大候任校長都是 BME的專家！昨天都透過視象祝賀新學系。

之前應未有獨立收生，該學科的Jupas Code係新加的。

I attended the establishment ceremony yesterday. Prof Raymond Tong mentioned the history of the said program.

Now, most universities' engineering school are changed to program base or departmental base admission.
In the application, they are requested to indicate their preference in year 1, they will take some prep course related BME. Just 3 years, can't complete the curriculum.

中大工程學院現時獨立收生的還有三個學科:金融科技學，電子工程學和能源與環境工程學。收生方面，雖然這幾科都沒指定Physic，但這三科有一點和生物醫學工程學不同，這三科都接受一些Applied Learning Subject作為DSE的elective，但生物醫學工程學就不接受。
