How old for a child to enter the K1

Does the child need to be 3 years old to enter the kindergarten?  And which kindergarten in Sheung Shui are good?  My nephew lives in ShenZhun but wants to study in Hong Kong.  Please advise.  Thanks.

birthday must be on or before 31 Dec.  So only 2Y8months if kinder starts school in Sept.

In which year was your nephew born?  Most kindergartens accept children from 2 years 8 months onwards, but there are exceptions, eg. Pui Ching.

      Are there any advices for kindergarten in Fanling?  It will be great if the school can provide the assistance to bring the children from Law Wu to the school.

Since your nephew was born in 2003, he should enter K1 in Sept 2006.  In that case, his parents should apply this year.  However, if they would like him to start going to school earlier, they might consider sending him to N1.  Not all kindergartens have N1.  You would have to ring each of them up and ask.  I am afraid I am not familiar with Fanling at all but the following link might help:-
