Hi everyone, my baby will study pn am session in this Sept. I also registered for their playgroup in order to help my baby to be familiar with the environment.
I choose this school because:
1. location - 5 mins walk to my house
2. new school, clean. with plenty of space. I've been to some famous kindergartens for interviews before. The schools filled up with many toys in the rooms, or numerous notice on the walls. Some people may claim that are with colourful and rich resources, yet, I dont like it, and my baby doesnt like it either. When he saw that, he started to cry... XD
3. My baby read the Letters A-Z poster, and song lyrics when he entered the school. The school principal just walked next to my boy, and sang with him. Her spoken English is excellent, and with good accent.
4. The admin staff is efficient, friendly and nice. From posting the application form, conducting interview, and receiving offer, we only used less than 2 weeks. You can tell they really welcome application.
5. My baby's interview performance is not very stable. Sometimes, he is mature, but sometimes, he cried terribly. I dont have many choices. This interview, he behaved well. I think he loves this school.
6. New school has more passion to build good wills.
7. I asked, they said Pn can be promoted to K1 directly. If we have energy, we may play the interview games again next year; if no, staying here could be good.
8. A bit expensive, but acceptable school fee.
9. The last and the most important reason: my boy really loves English words, and books. We hope to find him a kindergarten with strong English background. Some free local kindergartens in the region are good, but when I visited their places, I can hardly find many English words, much of them are in Chinese. From St Hilary's Kindergarten information, teachers will offer plenty of time to babies to develop their reading habits. That idea is very attractive to me.
That's all I can think at the moment. I hope it will help the others. Before I registered and play the school fee, I found quite a number of negative comments towards that school, e.g. Mr. Tsui, and other teacher's accent or presentation style, money-oriented background, however, they are not real users.
However, to be fair, maybe we can give them a chance to perform. ;) just like other give a chance to our kids. :)  |
