St Paul Boy's / DBPS Interview

According your experience, anyone knows that if it's possible to catch the interview of DBPS at 1.30pm if my son needs to sit in the interview of St Paul Boy's at 11.45am ?

To be honest, your schedule seems a bit tight.  You will need at least 30 min travel from Pokfulam to Mongkok through western tunnel, which should be the quickest already.  

In ideal case, you will need to leave SPCPS before 12:45pm if you want to catch up for the 1:30pm interview at DBSPD.

If you are not driving by yourself, you will need to add in extra time for getting a taxi. Also, you should expect some traffic jamming around those two areas due to the interviews.  

SPCPS said the interview last for about 30 mins.  However, they may not start on time, and the interview may over run.  And the worst thing is once your boy go in for the interview, I do not think there is anyway that you can pull him out.  I think at least expect
1-1.5hr for SPCPS.

I would say for your schedule, it is just ok if everything run smoothly and ideally.  Otherwise, it is quite risky.  Better check if there is any chance to reschedule with one of the schools, or need to give up one of them.

pick the one you trust suitable for your boy.

i don't think spb is easier than db.

the actual interview time for spb was very short last yr. but there was time for queuing and waiting...


it sounds to me that spb is looking for 'good boys' whereas db is looking for "smart boys".

for the 2nd round interview of db, it was observed that much much higher failure rate for boys who were coming from working class families.

印象中SPB好準時，應該趕到去DBS，記得買定乾糧畀阿仔在車上食，否則餓住考DBS 會好辛苦，good luck.

yes... something like that...

we knew near 10 nos of boys who got 2nd in but only the one whose families ran their own biz got the offer.


in theory it was around 2:1 hit rate for offer given 300 nos of boys proceeded to 2nd round interviews. but in reality we observed the hit rate was much less for working class families.

i guess even the principal could not tell your the exact.
what i meant for the smartness is contrast to those 'good boy' (polite) who spb is likely looking for.

probably alvant would tell u something diff.

除了 smart, 校長明報訪問都有提及過最好係 full time mum. 可能打工仔父母都真係危危地 。。。
