Playgroup or幼兒園? I think it depends on the character of your child. My child is also very sociable and active. She joined playgroup at 18 months.Then she studied in 幼兒園 at 24 months. She enjoyed the lives at 幼兒園 very much.

May I know which nursery your baby is studing in?  I also want my baby to attend nursery.  I really hope that he can start his school-life happily !  Would you mind sharing more information?

Before, I was hesitant in sending my girl to PN classes when she was only 2 as I felt that it's too young for a 2-year old to face so many ppl who arent members of her family.  So I choose a PN which offers 2-days per week.  From what I observed, my little girl enjoyed her school life so much and it did help her in her kindergarten application.  Soon she changed to 5 days class and enjoying every single day of her school life.  She was very confident and not shy when she did her interviews, and 5 schools accepted her to K1.

My elder son joined playgroup last Sept when he was only 14 months and is going to 5 days PN in August.  He enjoys his school life very very much and I will also let my younger son join playgroup when he attains 14 or 15 months.  My son right now is in Victoria Nursery, Harbour Heights, North Point.
