讀唔讀升中面試班好呢?

我覺得個女讀都冇mug幫助,佢好shy,面試一定唔掂,怕讀咗都係晒錢,但唔讀就實唔得.我都好矛盾.又好想佢第一round一take過面試成功.所以都諗住到時揀band 1中或band1尾面試.唉!如果要讀面試班我想今年暑假或者五年級開始讀. :cry:  :cry:  :cry:

我個女也曾參加, 是學校聯同非謀利機構合辦, 作用不大, 很多時只背讀一些生字, 和要學生留意儀表。我曾問過一些問題, 女兒也答得很含糊。她說面試班老師說, 不能給同一的答案, 要自我思考 , 如果我會敎也不用參加升中面試班。樣樣都自我思考, 早知慳返d錢, 得一肚氣。課程分三級, 每次都要填履歷表, 但從不會教履歷表内的公開考試英語名稱和內容。 激死!!!!!  
學校推介, 當然以為是佳品, 失望!!!!!!

不如考慮幫她們報英文Drama啦!反正interview沒有一定答案,要靠自己隨機應變,學Drama,寓學習於娛樂,學習面對群眾,可以訓練膽識,不害羞已多一份勝算.

以下是我當年考進 St. Paul's Convent School 的經驗﹕

1。 During the interview, the sister would not only talk to the child, but also the parents.  She asked my father whether he reads with me or not. (Of course, she asked for titles and details, so you can't lie to them...)

2.  They would ask your child many different things, like: a) what do you like best about your own school? Why? b) What activities do you enjoy doing?
c) What are you goals?


These are very basic. If you do OK, then they will send you a letter regarding an English exam.  I think the crucial step that determines whether you are in or not is the written English exam.  I remember writing it for a long long time.

The exam includes everything, from grammar, reading, to writing, and even things that you can never imagine--filling out forms for some banks/writing cheques....

So if you want your children to be well prepared for those exam, don't join the interview class.  Ask them to be inquisitive and always observe.  Many forms in HK have English on them.  Ask your children if they know what the English means.....

They are testing for students who are only good at academic English.  They want students to be able to "learn on their own" and "find ways to learn."

I have arranged my daughters to attend drama last year, but their results are very extreme.  My elder one is very active, no matter where she goes, she can draw the interviewer/leader attention.  However, my younger daughter is very passive, she took nothing after finished the drama course.

Therefore, I don't think interview class is a MUST.  But of course, if you don't care just a thousand dollars and you want no regret in future, you can arrange your kid to attend interview class, especially for those schools do not have much supporting to the parents.  I'm deeply appreciate our school which provide enough training to our daughter to well prepare their interview.  Of course, she's smart & know how to present herself very well.

我也覺得參加升中面試班的幫助不大，不過我也替我的小朋友報讀了，因為多學一些東西始終都會有些少得益，而且不會因為沒有替他報讀而後悔。

其實，較外向的小朋友在中學入學面試是有較為有利的，起碼他/她們敢在陌生人面前表現自己，所以面試班會安排小朋友和老師交談，令他/她們到時不會怯場。

此外，有些學校是要小朋友去不同的課室面試的，在一間課室考小朋友的中文(廣東話)、一間考英文、一間考普通話、一間考筆試，小朋友真是細膽d都嚇餐飽！
