IB 40分可稳入med ,law嗎？

英基因為人數最多，所以平均成績會較低，反而反映香港lB學生的正常水平！

My understanding  why more people getting  40+ is more schools adopting IB curriculum (therefore more elite IB students). And IB tutorial is getting very very popular nowadays in HK, that of course will boost the exam result.

Mind you that LPC students (particularly for their overseas students which account for > 60% of their student population) did not usually take any outside tutorial classes. That explains part of the reason why their overall result is not particular high in comparison with other HK schools.

LPC would take about 120 every year, over 60% (~ 70) from overseas (who are not so called 精英 in academic in their original cities. They are selected on base of all-round characters). And they only take in 45-50 from local HK 精英 (if you prefer this name). For  overall average "HK Student only" result has been 38-40 for many year (never been 36).

根據UGC規定，事實上香港學生讀任何課程，聯招及非聯招理應沒有特定配額，只是兩年前有個院長為掌聲，將27%減到25%，加據聯招及非聯招的矛盾，才開始有所謂他自己定的配額！此地不留人，自有留人處，又眼紅其他院校收到不少聯招及非聯招精英，去年又玩嘢，好在最後被否決了！


其他大學，其他學科仍然是沒有配額！你可以放心，其他大學及學院十分歡迎NJ學生，成績理想的有大大小小的奬學金及學分減免。

但要有心理準備去海外升學的打算，因為不少NJ學生及家長有期望在香港入神科，因此入學成績越來越高，如果入不到，會去海外升大學，海外神科易入好多好多。

No official definition, as general saying of most popular elite programs in university, like:
Medicine, Law, Global Business, Actuarial Science, Quantitative Finance ...... some other programs reflected the job markets.

Their popularities are reflected by their admission scores in JUPAS and NJ.

LPC is a boarding-school. As my daughter told me, only very few local students had taken tutorial classes outside. Academic achievement is only one of the core values in their curriculum.

Even Lpc overseas students didn't get very top IB scores, they are all very smart and all rounded students they actually got offers from many elite universities. Scores not telling everything in their cases.

唔多覺是正常水平law. 唔覺得band 2 學生會考得掂。以spcc 收晒全港精英中精英都係得40分，普通村校學生考30分都似。

If my observation is right, the academic entrance requirement of LPC is not exactly high. A lot of students that got interview chances are not even top students. However, I do believe the actual performance of interview plus challenge day would determine whether you get into LPC. They want to take students that are very talented (either good at music or sports) and have good leadership skills. I think one does not need to have an IB score of 45 to be a successful person. Rather, most successful people are very rounded and have good leadership skills. So it is really pointless to compare IB average.
