用dse成績報英國大學都要睇中文????

(細仔DSE, 宜家f5, 中文無信心level3, Phy +Bio+ M1+core maths 有信心拎5*, 因此尋求外國大學作出路)
細仔心儀學系:civil engineering

agent話淨係睇三個electives+ielts 6.0 above, 但我揾到考評局局網站:
http://www.hkeaa.edu.hk/tc/recognition/hkdse_recognition/ircountry_hkdse.html?1

裏面好多大學D pdf話要求all core subjects都要有咩level 3以上, e.g. Lancaster , bath, durham. Edinburgh, bristol, etc.


that means大學係出conditional offer既時候都會要求中文有level 3? 如果到時放榜發現中文level2左, 其他subjects達標, 可唔可以向大學求情?
p.s. 其實大學d entry requirement , e.g. AAA 係咪equivalent to A*AB? 姐係大學要求我細仔5 5 5 in 3 electives subjects, 如果考出尼係5* 5 4 又算唔算達標?

5*54 cannot be replaced for 555.  You have to ask for  the university to change the offer but the u has the right to reject or refuse.

總之無一間的conditional offer都會有分別，只要差少少達不到要求都不收，但你可以UCAS分別報高、中、低大學，高的到DSE成績不達標，咪重有兩間係手可以揀囉。

只可以揀兩間offer. one is firm choice and the other is backup.

hi thanks for ur reply, coz my son said he might not score a level 5 in biology.So I have to ask to the university if they can change the offer from 555 to 5*54 after received the conditional letter at around Feb~March or after the results day at July?

So you means although the university have said they required level3 in core subjects, it is not required in normal subjects like engine/account??

sorry,我記得舊年是找昇學顧問搞的，報ucas前大約已收到四間至五間大學的offer,要求成績各有不同，其中兩間大學顧問有聯系的，根據仔女報回dse預計成績，最後再經Ucas正式揀選最想入的一高一低大學，兩手準備。1,樓主其實可找顧問幫忙(大學部份有聯系，收生要求他們最清楚). 2,或自己直接去每年的英國大學展覽會，在場內向心儀的大學真接詢問成績要求，及有些學校可真接in及收生.3,clearing時可再揀選排名校後的大學

出咗成績，5達標就去同大學傾！但好多時大學係5接受！但係佢地會比其他學系比你，例如Engineering offer 555，但你有5*54 ，佢會問你讀5讀相関課程！我5熟eng，我5知相関課程有咩！但medicine 的相関課程係Bio~med or bio~chem，你5達conditional offer, 佢就比bio~chem or bio~med 嗰位你，你接5接受？通常這样的！

通常名氣大，競爭大的學科或大學都5經agent，大學的睇法係入學敢簡單，自己都攪5掂，太倚賴啦！

I see. I was about to ask if the top 5 like Oxbridge, LSE, UCL and Imperial would admit students through agents.

I plan to have my son to do it with help from consultant at his school, maybe ask his English tutor in HK to help him on the personal statement. As his school got a very good track record in top 5 Us in UK, I guess this will be enough ?

Yes, the consultant from the school is enough.  The PS and predicted grade are important.
