關於ESF

小朋友係2012-2013時候申請入讀  每年英基都會send email 比我續期排隊。而我每幾個月都會打去學校問排waiting 情況 。在前年打去説女兒排到第51個 上年29 今年9
上3個月前去到第6 。今天打去問佢同我講話31 我即時好愕然點解會咁？ 英基答覆係喺10月send 過封email 比我問我會唔會選擇司徒拔道嗰間，當時我回覆係不考慮已及同我有電聯過我都係reject咗。真係好愕然係我由頭到尾無收過呢封email 及無同佢有對話過呢個問題。但佢好堅持話我有收到同打比我講。我check過晒所有email 同垃圾郵件都無。所有ESF send 比我email 我都無delete一直有留。想請教各我可以點做？因我沒有讀國際學校的經驗。Thank you !

So is that u really applied the one at Stubbs Rd as what they mentioned? Or they put you to the other campus instead? Moreover, u call the Admission office again, asked them to double confirm you with the email address that they sent you before! Also what number did they call before! If these data is not matched, that means the one to reply them is not 'YOU'. Did they double check with the one who talked on phone with them is 'YOU'? Will there be possibility that they dialed a wrong number but that person just randomly reply them 'no need'... I think u should insist to defence! And tell them how eager you look for a place at ESF and how will it be possible for u to give up a waiting which is almost there... These are all 不合邏輯！if I were you.. I will begging for it coz I really love ESF! It really depends how insist you are!

Yes , just try your best to " beg and defend" to show how keen you are and yet , don't be too mad and insist to find fault that will show only how crazy you are. I think even they can't give you the spot right away, they will still move you up the list as a way out.  Good luck.

By the way, after u wait for almost 4 yrs.. Now your kid should attend what Year? If Year 9, 10, 11, 12... Then you may really have chance for Island School, coz they have space available.. Talk to admission office quick!

吓, 原來可以打去問排到第幾架? 我阿仔都係排緊呀, 2012申請入13-14 Y1, 又係每年renew, 一路都未in過, 你打去考那間學校問定係general office問?

Year 4 本身係九龍小學，由頭到尾我都係打去九龍小學check waiting 。我係非常好失望，原因係一年前同我講係waiting 9 之後3個月前打去就去到waiting 6 。現在同我講係上年10月份時已聯絡過我而我係reject佢要求。問題係如果10月份時候reject 佢學校(已經係大半年時間既事）點解我3個月前學校話我已排到 waiting 6?而唔係今日所講既waiting 31?所以非常之矛盾同無助！佢地話天答覆因有關部門已放工。但今日School office manager 係非常之堅持，就算我講咩都好似無用我仲有咩途徑可以解釋。可以上辦公室同佢理論？我真係好想有個Interview機會。

感覺好口同鼻拗，冇證冇據咁，你又話你send咗我又話我無收到咁。ESF從來無call過我，只係自己幾個月打一次check 。我老公話講咩都無用，他們不會為了一個校外生而承認系統出錯。所以叫我唔好抱大希望，但我每年都好期待，突然咁樣真係無法接受到

Sincerely request for a review and try to convince them with proof, eg all emails from them.
However, I have seen a few attending for interviews and couldn't get a seat because of keen competition.

明白了，唔該哂，我都試吓問。
Amy，如果係我，我都會嘗試吓要求查明真相，不能不明不白就被推後。還有，就算reject Stubb Rd. 那家都冇理由把妳在KJS排緊條隊推後咁多，最多原地踏步。

同其實傾咗好耐佢係好堅持話同我對話過，又send email 比我，我問佢咁而家優先處理返我個小朋友得唔得，佢話唔可以係我自己放棄咗。心底説話，我無心排就唔會幾個打去問情況，而且司徒拔道那間都方便到我而且一向ESF都排好耐有機會我點會放棄interview

I am confused. Thought Stubbs road only have the ESF hillside Kindergarden? That does not fit your kid's entry year?

Stubb Road has a ESF Primary, which is called Bradbury School

Bradbury & KJS r two different catchment zones, why they will offer you Bradbury?

Bradbury is comparative easy to get into, as that area has many expats, the students turnover rate is higher, my son only queue for 10 mths, then got an offer.

We queue in Aug 2014, then they asked my son to have the interview immediately after submission, he is 考插 year 1, but we turned down the interview, as we planned to move back HK in Dec, then Oct, we got a call fm them, and asked us to hv interview, by then we turned down as well, my son is in top 10, lately we didnt receive any call, but we call them fm time to time n asked, my son is in top 5 in Jan, but after the CNY, he dropped to top 10 again, as the admission said their may be sibling priority for those jump queue.

Finally, we got a call fm sch n asked my son to attend an interview, and passed, he is now at year 2.

噢, 我剛剛打了電話去KJS問, 如果妳小朋友都係waiting list 2016-17 KJS Y4的話, 我阿仔就是排妳小朋友後一個, 我地#32.

If the demand on different school catchments becomes too skewed, ESF sometimes attempt to re-balance by referring some applicants to another school. It doesn't happen often but it does happen.

Ic, tks! But if you are not in their catchment zone, no sch bus will be provided, need to send n pickup by own arrangement.
