RC vs BHS

家住九龍區，但撘校巴的話車程就差不多，請問大家會怎樣選擇呢？

BHS, BHS 上KGV, KGV IB track record 比 RC 好好多。

各位RC家長，唔係話RC唔好，只係RC較新但非常有潛力，要多少少時間brew 吓先。

BHS 都不一定上KGV的，都是跟住址

如果唔升KGV 就應該升STC, 舊年STC IB 成績係咁多間ESF 包括RC 及DC 中最好的。

每間學校文化都有D唔同，睇你想要D咩。另RC一定可以直上中學，ESF catchment area黎緊有改變需要，住九龍到升中學時去邊間仍有變數。

I know someone who lives in Kowloon side got offered BHS but still chose to go to RC, her reason was BHS is quite a small and old campus in comparison to RC and also RC is much more reputable in academic statue than BHS.

u can go to any esf primary u prefer and then should move closer to the KGV campus when u are in Year 5, where is unlikely to move to another catchment area even if there will be any changes in future.

Yeah, but still need to go to either one ESF primary first, coz it's harder to transfer from RC primary to ESF secondary.

Agree, since he lives in Kowloon, even travelling time is similar now,  it's still better to get closer at secondary school, coz will have more extracurricular activities etc.

If studying in which secondary school is a major consideration, then there is a significant difference between BHS and RC.

BHS is an ESF foundation primary school whose pupils will proceed to a foundation secondary school (i.e. KGV, Shatin College, or Island School etc) depending on their residential address. If a family's residential address doesn't fall within the catchment of their targeted secondary school, they would move into the catchment by the end of Y5.

RC is a PIS that has both primary and secondary sections and their pupils will study at the same campus for their entire primary + secondary years. Same goes for DC.

There is no internal transfer between foundation schools and PIS, so if the target secondary school is KGV, then the choice must be BHS.

May consider the difference in emphasis on Chinese and adoption of traditional / simplified characters.

謝謝。

我冇可能知道每一間學校的的分別。但因應班级數目多少，管理層的願景等因素，已有其中分別。當然，同一學校不同家長亦有不同感受。
舉個例子，如每年一度school fair，不同學校已有不同演譯方式。

唔知K S係咩。BHS, 一级三班，學生少老師少家長少staff又少，讀得幾年個個熟口熟面，同级學生亦差唔多做過同班同學，加上ESF出名sibling多，以我呢D working parents 久不久做下helper, 對學校發生的事都掌握七八成(我估)。學校班數越多，校舍大左，人事複雜左，事非又多D(個人感受), 同级class teacher質素有時上落颇大,(管理層人數多但又一定管得有效，遇到好老師要撞手神，性格內向D(家長或小朋友)讀左幾年仍可能身边佈滿陌生人。校舍大左除番開人多左，其實資源上又唔覺有分別，反正都係对住一班廿幾三十人一個老師同EA。

KS 係港島南區嘅 Kennedy。

KS個校長係早2年BHS校長轉過去；舊年又有個BHS老師升職過左去。Kennedy班多d(好似5班)；行過對面就係Sandy Bay大pitch一個；常見Kennedy會借用黎上PE(佢地football team都好勁,唔知有冇關係) 幾方便(BHS就包車去九龍仔)。如果交通唔係大問題；又唔介意big school；Kennedy亦係理想選擇。
