Hello all mamies,

Really admire you all that your boys can study in St. Joseph Kinder.  St. Jo is also one of the schools that I plan for my son to go into as I also grew up in HK side... St. Jo always had some joint school functions with my sec school in my days.  Boys from St Jo are smart and confident.  So would you please advise me which kinder/nursery your kids were in so that they can admit into St Jo Kinder?  Thanks in advance!

Hello all mamis,

上星期終於contact到1位囝囝之前讀St. Jo Kinder, now in St.Jo primary 1 家長, 問到一些info.
(a) St.Jo Kinder 是１間相當傳統學校, 冇activities (連旅行也冇 );
(b) 有dictation, 但程度ok, 所有小朋友都可應付;
(c) 上堂模式similar to primary school;
(d) kinder graduates 升上St. Jo 小學應無問T.
這位家長advise 我如決定take呢個offer, 就要bear in mind it's a very old-fashion traditional school, 但如想以後阿囝上到Band1 English primary, 呢間肯定係good choice.

After heard her advice, I decided to change lah   :

If the school lack social activities, we parents can organize some by ourselves in future like outing, visit to park, museum (for K3), etc. right?

各位家長：

其實世上沒有一間十全十美的學校，有人快樂有人愁，原因只有當事人才清楚．

所以有時無需聽得太多，只有你自己最清楚自己的孩子適合活動教學或傳統教學．SJ明顯是屬於傳統教學，沒有室外活動，沒有遊戲活動，沒有畢業禮．但對學習�字體�德育有要求，對升讀傳統小學有幫助．那些才是你們的期望及要求？權衡輕重後，如仍選擇SJ，便需全力支持，盡量配合學校，以補學校不足之處．只有得到家長的支持，小朋友才可以快快樂樂地上學

Dear St. Joseph mummies

My son is now 2.5 yrs old and i really want him to study in St. Joseph in 2006.  As i know, St Joseph will distribute forms in Dec.  
Is there any thing I need to pay attention?  
what should i prepare for the interview?
what should i attacth in the application form?
is it very difficult to be accepted by St. Joseph?  
As i am not a catholic,  my husband is not an old boy, no relations with St Joseph, can you give me any hints?

我唔係catholic 啊, 妳呢? 我自己係讀Christian school (但我亦不是Christian), 冇乜接觸過天主教.

有時覺得自己有份工真係少好多時間陪阿囝, 但又不想放棄份工喎... 日後可能好無奈地都要搵工人'姐姐'同婆婆幫手睇功課, 不過心就覺'爭'左D囉.

我係catholic，想問下你地會去開邊個教堂。其實都同你一樣，放工如果太晚都唔知點同佢溫書做工課，不過我都叫自己要頂梗上，尤其是選了SJ，唔知到時d工課是否好深，我都驚我會變左個傻人。
