請教ESF QBS報名年齡

我仔仔2010年12月出世，現讀本地幼稚園K1（升K2），係超大仔，想今年報QBS Y1（2016入學），睇到網頁寫明出生年份同班級對照表，其實是否今年仍可以報名（2016年8月 - Year 1）？請指教，謝謝～

Activehealth

You should have applied last year to start Yr 1 (2015/6) when school starts this month.
Otherwise, you can apply for Yr 2 (2016/7) this September.
Or you have to apply Yr 1 2016/7 with special consideration as your boy was born in December.

Thank you for your reply. I intentionally arranged my son to start K1 later because he is a Dec boy. It is good to know that we 'can' still apply for 2016 Y1.

Does ESF offer special consideration for baby born at the end of a year ? From what I heard , admission cut off is strict

They do.
I know a few kids whose birthdays are in later part of the year enter the year below under special consideration.

If u apply y2 at qbs, the waiting list is very long. My cousin applied y2 for his son last year. He  is 60 on the waiting list. A year past, she is now still around the number.

您的小朋友在local school做大仔，但在esf的系統卻會尷尬。最好致電問學校，因為決定權在學校手。我仔有同學是在年尾最後一天出生，所以可算是全級最細; 但在同級中也有同學是在早一年的十一月出世。

I heard RCHK is less strict with the dates, but i guess its too far away for you!

Yes, RCHK is too far for us. We will try those on HK Island and Kowloon first. :)
