請問申請加拿大大學是在一月, 但還沒考DSE, 也沒有其他國際公開試成績, 若報熱門學校和學科, 有機會嗎?

個女系香港讀11班, 今年考IGCSE, 本想讀多兩年等考完IB才去考加拿大大學. 但聽人地講加拿大d大學現在收海外學生比較緊(又要呈上英語公開考試成績), 所以現在真係十五/十六, 唔知宜加去好還是遲d去

Is your child Form 5 this year? Then it is totally normal for him to apply to universities in the first term of Form 6, when he has not taken any DSE exams. No universities requires the final grades for application. Everyone one apply in around October (some UK universities) to latest by February (some Canadian universities) in Form 6. Universities would look at your internal grades. Most universities look at up to 4 years of high school grades. And they base those grades to decide whether they are giving you conditional offer. BTW, which 熱門學科 are you talking about specifically?

International school? Then she probably does not even need to submit IELTS or TOEFL, as she has been with an truly english medium school (local 英中 do not count as they are not truly english medium school) for at least 4 (or 5 for some universities) years. Check the website of the universities of your interest.
Even if she decided to sit for IELTS or TOEFL anyway, it will be really easy for her as these tests are designed for students with English as second language. IELTS and TOEFL is a piece of cake for students that take Group 1 English A in IB.

Canadian universities do not consider SAT compulsory.
It is quite hard to conquer if you do have have good preparation anyway.
A mediocre SAT grade is not going to help much anyway.
