Of course, not the exam results as the yard stick. Just an example of English proficiency by using IBDP exam results.

Most people will consider both oral and written proficiency, not just oral.

Back to the old issue: DSS IB schools are mostly very selective. At least DBS and SPCC are.
International schools like ESF (which has the largest group of IBDP students) are hardly that selective. The only so called streaming is probably merely to BTEC and the new IBCC. However, these are both not selective by the schools but by the students.
Actually, if you look at the IBDP results of each schools, it matches with the selectiveness of the schools.

I just quoted an example of English standard, not others.

I will use MATCHING instead of SELECTIVE ..... for IB DSS. Of course, I know most outsiders don't accept the reality.

女兒的某課外活動裏，學生多來自頂尖本地名校及國際學校。我自己聽係聽不出那是本地，那是國際學生。但阿女話佢分到，部唔知係咪。

當然我們無法得知那些本地的名校生，寫方面點，有無混血，或家庭背景係點，或者係咪 typical standard at school.

The more bizzare a thing is, the less mysterious it proves to be.

講得啱有乜用，大部份家長只相信以訛傳訛，事實冇乜市場

回覆 ABC-DAD 的帖子

雖然我越對接受兩位所屬學校所用的 - 以 matching 的概念去選擇學生。但也不能否認此仍 "選擇" 學生的程序。此外, 家長的決定權只是決定交唔交入讀 IB 申請表。最終是學校決定你的孩子能否讀 IB (不是家長)。所以我們要搞清楚概念!
