Kinder K1 American International School vs ESF WKS

It is lucky or unexpected that we received an offer from ESF WKS in Apr 2015 while has been told active waiting list in Jan 2015. Originally was no choice but need to think about it now. My child was born in the year of Dragon which foresee a big struggle in the coming interview for  primary and secondary schools. Our family plan is to move to London in coming 5 years time.

Questions, anyone here can share experience of these two IS, especially for kinder and primary levels.

Well since you are planning to move to London in the near future, I'd say go with ESF as it is a British curriculum school, while AIS is an American curriculum school.

AIS kinder students probably can directly promoted to elementary without any interview. I will take AIS in you case, so I dont have to worry about the possible changes after kindergarten. For the curriculum, I guess it's not difficult for a kid to pick up after a short transitional period.

Hard to make a decision. But I tends to go for the ESF mainly for the similar system to UK.

I vote for through train, you don't know how stressful it is to find a primary IS spot.

I have been going through posts and seems the approx. rate from K2 to Y1 was around 80-90%. Correct me if not. I know anyone could be the unlucky one to be the 10-20%.

There will be one more kg coming up in Tung Chung, the percentage might get lower? I am not sure.
