因為college 16歲就可以入 同埋只要中三學歷 比同年香港學快快兩年 都早兩年大學 ...

上面 nintendo 講得十分中肯，你講嘅呢條路唔係行唔通，但你諗下，中學比人地讀少左兩年，上到 CC，同人地讀同樣嘅 courses，除非你小朋友讀書好標青，否則要同人地競爭攞高分真係唔容易，CC 成績如果唔係十分好，要轉入好大學唔使諗

我小朋友而家中三 有親戚住San Francisco 想問下個邊有咩中學係好？ 應該幾時過去最好？而家係咪已經遲

比個實例你，阿仔學校舊年有個學長入左 UC Berkeley，佢 IB Diploma 攞 45 分滿分，數學考全球第一，港大醫學院收左佢，佢第一志願想入哈佛，但入唔到，最後揀左 UC Berkeley

如果唔係 target UC Berkeley， UCLA 或者 UC San Diego，讀完中學，入 CC，然後再轉入 UC 其餘六個 campus，都係一路可行嘅路

三藩市校區好似幾複雜，聽聞唔係你住邊區就讀邊間，要抽籤，你去美國媽媽會嗰邊問下，會有 JM 詳細答你。至於幾時過去你要睇下小朋友嘅情況，佢自理能力如何？平日成績同操行點樣？你會唔會陪埋佢過去？如果你唔去，有親戚照顧？還是要寄宿？佢咩年紀你覺得放心比佢離開屋企？通常父母想早 d 比小朋友去外國係想佢早 d 適應，成績上左軌道，之後容易入到比較好嘅學校，你覺得你小朋友有冇呢個需要？如冇，可以喺香港讀到中學畢業先去都唔遲，CC 唔難入，如果立定心思決定經 CC 轉入正規大學，應該冇必要一早去

if ur child is not a u.s. citizen, he/she cannot go to public school.  you will need to apply for student visa.

Although it is extremely uncommon, still there is example  from CC to top college.

大學不單單看 academic，也看 SAT 和 college essay / personal statement。
一般是先以 SAT 篩學生，因此 SAT 唔夠高，IB 滿分都冇用，收生最後階段也會看 college essay。


如果讀 IB ，可以問學校的 counsellor ，佢地會同大學有聯系。

Universities look at 4 years academic grades of pre-u.
If you study 2 years high school in US, you need to submit 2 years of grades in HK.
The choice is up to you.

Good high schools in US have very little vacancy. Most people stay and thus very little chance.
Are you sure you want to pay money to study in ordinary or even wild chicken schools?

also need to look at interview.  in addition, extracurricular activities are also important.  Top colleges expect tons of volunteer work, work experience, etc.  Essentially, U.S. schools tend to look at the overall individual, not only test scores.  Test scores often only get you in the door.

Thank you for supplementing my messages.Yes, US universities are not like UK universities. They look at EVERYTHING on the application forms.

你一直問而家中三係咪太遲，點解你怕遲？遲喺邊度？你嘅憂慮係乜野？英文程度？overall 成績？

你提到嘅嗰間學校我唔清楚，去美國媽媽會嗰邊問下可能會有多 d 資料，嗰邊有唔少 jm 住三藩市，應該熟

CC 都入到 UCLA，UC Berkeley 嘅，不過當然成績要好好，但冇保證；其餘六間 UC 有 transfer guarantee program，達到佢要求，就一定入到，詳情可以去呢度睇下：
