Our gal is very lucky to receive an offer from QBS.

Any comments on QBS would be highly appreciated!!!  Thanks a bunch!!!

(We are new to intl schools coz my gal is at a local one for k2).

Congratulations! From what I've heard, most children enjoy very happy school life at QBS! They have an excellent teaching team there!

QBS　is a very good school.
The only defect is no canteen over there and all students need to bring lunch by themselves.

Do you have kids at QBS?  

Since we coming from a local school background. We dunno what to expect in terms of discipline and guidance at QBS. And also the homework style. Would be great if you can share with me.

Thanks!  Do you mind elaborate more about the positive things on QBS?  

Also would like to know how kids are evaluated at class or say term assessment. IB is very new to us and would like to prepare our expectation.

QBS is a happy school, year 1 students don't have any homework, start from year 2, both chinese and english will have some assignments occasionally, most of the tasks they finished at the school.   all the class teachers are NET, and very professional on teaching kids.  The school has many after school activities for students e.g. Xmas, dance day, fun day, CNY.... and some seminars are mainly for parents to understand what they are teaching.  
Yes, it is very tired to make lunch and snack everyday.
For the discipline, the school has relatively high expectation compare with other IS, they required students wear particular color hair bands, uniform standard,queuing up to upstairs.... So far, I saw the kids are well behave and polite.  My kids also behave very well after they attend QBS.  
Hope you enjoy the school and have positive comments like me.

Yes, they do have chinese lessons every day. Depending on the kids' ability in chinese, they will be grouped into classes 忠信愛義

What's the path for secondary school? I'm not familiar with this but am thinking of putting my kids there. My hubby graduated from KGV, will it help?

For secondary it will be esf schools by catchment. Sorta guarantee placement. They run IB programs mainly for y12 and 13.

Looked into details for long but dun quite get the concept of it yet. Would be great if anyone can elaborate.

I'm browsing their Twitter and saw y1 kids actually writing goals in sentences. I'm not too sure if my gal can do it by second term (she just learned to write all the alphabets).

Any thoughts???

My girl got offer for Y1 at QBS too. Actually all 5 kids participated in the interview that day were enrolled.

My gal is the only one from her kg so QBS will be a totally new environment to her. Would be nice if she can meet some future classmates in summer!
