It is true, they cancelled all interviews scheduled this Thursday........I believe lots of parents would have applied to their TY Campus instead if they have known this in advance.......now we can only apply for K2 for 2016.

Oh how come? sorry to hear that, is there any chance to transfer them to TY campus for 2015 K1?

Other campus should have already chosen the new batch of K1 kids on their own, and it is reasonably unlikely that the applicants for Tung Chung will be offered places in other campus. That's just too sad, indeed.

I guess we should treat it as rumour until it is officially announced by the school. I did a Google search just now, so far, the only reference to a delay in opening is this thread on this website, nowhere else :)

fattydaddy, parents already got the letter from kindie about this issue. This is for sure the kindie in TC will be opening in 2016

They will give the applicants priority interview for 2016 K2 at the end of year so I assume they won't refund. For those who got offered K2 places already, they are offered places at TY or Hillside.

Just checked with my friend, the TC k2 student will get a place at TY or Hillside in coming Apr (k1) or coming Aug (k2)
If she pick the k1 place in coming Apr, she still got the priority interview for Yr 1

For those who are affected can talk to the Principal directly on 22 Jan at Tsing Yi if necessary. It is mentioned in the letter that you can make an appointment.

So for TC K2 kids were they originally supposed to start Apr (K1) in TC so that they can get priority interview for Yr1? (because otherwise they are not qualified for Yr1 interview priority)

For the 2015-16 K1 kids, even if they have priority interview for the 2016-17 K2 class, i guess they still need to do a summer term in order to qualify for Yr1 interview priority...?

Actually TC students got exception before, it stated in their web site
