住將軍澳區想安排仔女到港島區上學的家長

本人和先生在港島區成長，因港島區樓價實在太貴，婚後搬到將軍澳區，但我哋只對港島區小中學熟悉。想舖路比小朋友讀港島K, 再上港島區小丶中學。有冇同處境家長入來交流下心得。thanks !

It only takes around one hour door to door from TKO to most of the schools on the HK Island side (which is not that bad).

We live in Lohas Park and our son goes to Tai Tam for K1 now.  We take MTR to TaiKoo and then take the school bus to school (around 1 hour door to door - 7:15am to 8:20am).

Thanks for your reply. Your son is studying K now? Is that there's no direct school bus traveling from HK island to TKO in general?

Two of my friends' kids are going to the HK Island for K1 and their schools do have school bus available (I don't remember the name of the schools though).  So I think each school's bus routes are different.
But as the TKO tunnel gets very congested in the morning, normally the school bus would come to the TKO area very early.

We were thinking of driving our son to Tai Tam but it only saves us 10 to 15 minutes.  So we decide to take the MTR and then catch the school bus in TaiKoo instead.

我2個小朋友都係東區讀緊幼稚園, 以前都係住將軍澳, 日日搭地鐵返學
其實問題不算太大, 不過你要考慮升小學計校網

I am not too familiar with the 校網 thing as it is not really a big concern for us.  But would it be possible to use your parents' / friends' address in other zones to apply if needed?

my daughter's current class has at least 5 kids live in tko.  Her school is at mid-level.

Same Here! I'm considering move to Tai Koo Shing... we accepted the PN offer from GV and planning to study K /Primary in HK side.

一般校車都應該行維景灣畔條私家路，所以唔塞。

I see a lot of kids taking MTR to the HK side with their parents in the morning.  It may not be as far away / time consuming as you think.

我小朋友是在太古返學,上落樓前後也要預50-60分鐘,所以一個鐘走唔甩……，但因他是返下午班，所以睡眠時間也是一個問題，將軍澳去港島線已算快同好方便！但為著返學方便和將來升小校網，我們最後都賣了樓，轉買港島區方便返學，同為將來升小鋪路………
同埋，如果他日如在港島區返小學的話，除非是自行接送，不然將軍澳過港島區的校車，現在都要2400-3000一個月不等的，所以，思前想後，現在幼稚園同中學都想在港島區落腳的話，搬屋也實在免不了！一來一回兩個鐘，上到小學，省回那兩個鐘，會覺得時間好好用！

好在我以前舊居同幼稚園都近地鐵站, 所以直接搭地鐵便可, 不用再轉車
同埋c6唔贊成搭校車(基本上想搭都冇...........), 佢話小朋友太細唔識照顧自己, 有咩意外就會好危險
