anyone received ESF K1 interview?

Oh can't believe the competition is so keen now. And I still haven't got any notice for interview, really worried about my chance!

Our letter doesn't say our child would be put on wait list even if he passes the interview. He is only invited to the interview. Do different ppl receive different letters on the interview invitation?

I checked from website & other forums, it seems that ESF has categorized applications into 3 groups, 1. Place reserve and need to pass in play visit; 2. Place in waiting list but still invite to play visit, place will be available if 1. give up; 3.   No invitation, just put into waiting list.  Please correct me if I interpret it wrongly

The letter doesn't state a place is reserved. My child is only asked to go to the interview. Both parents are encouraged to come along

Susu922, i had been Victoria interview for my son's PN 2014 intake. I would suggest you to attend to ESF interview. Two schools are good but they are a bit difference in styles and school setting. If you have already paid your $300, you can participle as joining the open house.

in my understanding, the group play / interview only intends to find out if the child can speak/listen to english, instead of using to determine whether you get a place or not. Am I correct?

Thank you. Discussed with my husband and we decided to attend the play visit -- a good chance to know more about the school and it doesn't hurt any way.

Also, in case my little boy doesn't fit in Vic, he would at least have a back up (if an offer were given by ESF at the time when we need it).

But after all, unless something extraodinary takes place, I prefer to have my little one stay at one school during K1 - K3. A stable environment is important for young kids, I think.  

Will share the interview process when it is done:)

Our letter written that following the play visit, may need to attend further visit to meet the principal , is it means there may has 2 nd in?

Four years ago when my elder girl applied for yr 1, most of her TY schoolmates did go to Renaissance, discovery or ESF primary schools.  A few will go other private international schools.

You should go. Last year our daughter got the same scenario. She was given the place in the last summer holiday.
