anyone received ESF K1 interview?

I'm applying current year k1, my daughter is born 2011....still wAiting

We registered and being assigned into groups before getting into the school. There were many toys which all children were free to play with. Around two teachers asked questions to each child. Basic questions were to ask the child to speak out his/her name and color or shape of the toys nearby. The teacher would try to interact with the children by asking them to follow their instructions, or to have further conversation in regard to the toys around. My son is hopeless as he was unwilling to respond to the teachers. Good luck to you all ~

Thanks for your sharing.  But I think you will still have a chance to get an offer because you got the invitation but not on the waiting list.  Cheer up.

Hi all,  I am a bit confused .... Can anyone tell me why did some of you get waiting list before playday ? To me, waiting list means the kid is not able to get a seat  after school interview . Or you guys applied last year ?

yes, your child will be put on waitlist even he/she success for the interview.  Offer will be given to your child if other children drop the offer.

Did you get any acknowledgement of receipt of the application package? Haven't heard from the school after sending in the application by registered mail.

Just received letter for play visit in late jan for wu kai sha campus, but it didnt mention whether we r on wait list or not
Isnt it after the playvisit they will decide which child they will pick for k1?

No priority at allBut we did attend one summer course at esf which last for 2 weeks

Received interview invitation for Hillside campus, late Jan, lunch time.

The letter specifies that even if the kid passes the interview, he will be put on waiting list and would not be able to start in Agust 2014. Looks like the Hillside campus received over 700 applications this year and they plan to interview around 300 for 176 seats.  Offer could be made even after Sept 2014 or during school year until the 176 seats are all filled. AM or PM will be decided through lottery.

Debating whether we should still go to the interview as we have accepted offer from another kindergarten and we probably won't go for ESF even if it gives us an offer in the end.....but we did pay HKD300 for this interview in advance....
