Does any parent's child have experience taking IELTS in UK?

Is it easier to gain higher marks than in HK? Please share. Thanks.

不會，見家長回來香港考主要原因英國考試太逺，反而香港估容易考高分，因本地有中文中學，英文語言不多講就不太好，如前一個考對話一般，你的表現得好，就相比下容易取高分，個人意見。

個別大學要求，即使在英 sixth form，若 first language 不是英文，便要考 IELTS。

如果有GCSE英文係唔駛IELTS。

入英國U英文可用A Leve|英文但難取好成績，比喻外國人考中文，同中國人考中文你就容易明白，另GCSE英文最少要grade C，最後Ielts有6或7分

Won't work for Oxbridge. They require overall 7.5.

有冇問佢點解？我小人之心，有些人見其他人考得好些，就這樣說？
其實好難作比較，有時考試要看點運氣，題目如果剛好是出正自己喜愛的題材，也對自己有利。
同一學生考兩次，也不定一樣分。我有朋友女兒，考了兩次，第一次反而比第二次高一分。

¡e|ts見綢上有人考三次作文，笫l次7分，第2次6.5分，笫3次7.5分，因成績表冇寫考過幾多次，可用最好成績報。

My previous message merely wanted to point out that, it is hard to say whether it is indeed easier to write the test in UK or HK.

Oxford University: GCSE Eng grade B is acceptable.

No, it works for Oxbridge as well. If applicants get good GCSE English language results, they are not required to take IELTS.

My friend's son has submitted his application for Cambridge without IELTS results . His first language is Chinese but he got A* in GCSE Eng. Another case is A in GCSE and got interview at Oxford.

They are still waiting for the results but their school has many similar applicants before and some got an offer from Oxbridge. I have just read the entry requirements for Cambridge. I think that the main difference is they submit their applications through UCAS and are regarded as local students while IELTS requirement is for international students.
